Central Market offers an interesting an unique experience. Local artisans sell everything fro baked goods to furniture to wine. Experience craft brews, burritos, flavored sodas, fish sandwiches, and gyros, and more. Great local experience in historic downtown York.

An iconic wood framed building. What was once a farmers market is now a big food court with home made goodies and restaurant quality food. A balcony seating area allows a great view of the market. A ham and cheese sub at Henry's is a bargain. Seafood, meats and produce can still be found as well. Went to a wedding... More

Met a friend for coffee and lunch at the York Central Market earlier this month... the number of eateries seems to have grown substantially. Options, options, options... some of the best food vendors in York operate here. Not as many fresh produce and butcher vendors as Eastern Market... but since Eastern Market is only open on Friday's and Central is... More

wonderful selections all through the year. Get there early if you only have 30 min for lunch and walking is not a bad thing. Parking is across the street from market in the garage

This is in a historic building with free parking across the street on weekends. There's lots of restaurants, local wine, baked goods, produce, flowers, crafts and ample seating. The building both inside and outside are beautiful brickwork and exposed beams. A must-do when in the area. There are lots of nice shops on the same block to visit and explore... More

Stopped here for lunch driving through the area. What a fun and lively place. We had a seafood lunch which was delicious. All the tables were taken so we ate in the park in the rear of the building. Highly recommend a visit!

I love going to Central Market and shopping for fresh produce. There are a wide variety of individual stands for many shopping needs. Make sure you save room to eat at one of the food stands.

You want it, you got it at Central Market. One of the oldest farmers markets in the country this one has it all. Amazing food choices, fresh produce, fresh meat, fresh flowers and more. Special events are held here for an added bonus. Great place to meet for all ages.

When I worked in the city this used to be my lunch time visit at least 2x's a week and where I picked up local produce. Not your run-of-the-mill market.

I have been going to the Central Market since I was little in the 70s. Although, it has changed dramatically over the years, it still is a nice place to meet friends and have lunch on a Saturday. The only recommendation that I have is to try and bring back more fresh meat and produce vendors. The Market's original purpose... More
