This is truely a beautiful place.Be sure you see the "Stone Field".It is called Boulder Field and is most impressive to see.It is the result of the "Ice Age".There are numerous camp grounds located in the park and they are usually full on weekends in the summer.I prefer the Autumn myself.

JROTC orienteering event brought us to the Daddy Allen group area. Cabins are clean and large. PWashhouses are cold water only but clean. Park is beautiful and the orienteering is great!

My wife and I hiked two trails in this park, perhaps 5 miles total. For that kind of hiking, this park fits the bill quite nicely. There are some very pretty sections, and the trails are challenging enough for a casual hiker. The trails are well traveled and maintained. Nothing about them blew me away, though. The lake and area... More

DONT GO TO THIS PARK TO CAMP!! The Park "Police" here are insanely militaristic. Very very hostile. Sort of gun happy types. We were camping there this past weekend, 3 families. Not that it matters but we are all in our 40's-50's, doctors, chemists, engineers. And we are not at all rowdy partying types. We had our kids with us... More

Knowing we had to have our rental RV back in Philadelphia by 11a, we chose to stay here the night before. Arriving at dusk we could only see a few of the trails we passed while driving in, and sadly did not get the chance to enjoy. The restrooms and campsites were very well kept and clean. Making the 3... More

The area was beautiful. I love Pennsylvania, don't get me wrong. The trails are not clearly marked. The bathrooms were disgusting. I'm a 60 yr camper. Only saw campers cleaning. Out houses must be swept once every couple of years! Showering with the spiders. Could have better location choices for dog friendly areas instead of center of campgrounds. No outhouses... More

We stopped here as we were passing through the area. It felt like a long drive into the woods, but was really only a few miles. We were so glad we stopped! We spent about 45 mins climbing over the rocks and took some great photos before we left. I expected Boulder Field to be like something we'd find in... More

Many campsites, all in a wooded setting. there is a small lake for swimming, hiking trails, and the Lehigh river is close by. The camp store is well stocked, amazingly so for a small store. We were there for a weekend in early August in the campground area that provides electric. The camp sites were about 70% full. The restroom... More

Beautiful place. Amazing scenery. Breathtaking waterfalls and trails. Sites are alittle cramped tho. Not a far walk to Sandy lake for swimming.

While the lake and beach can become crowded on a summer weekend, the hiking trails are fantastic with outstanding views of creeks, Lehigh River, rhododendrons, rock outcrops. Get out on one of the longer trails and you will soon leave any crowds behind. Boulder field is well worth a stop.
