Stopped here to camp on a road trip from NYC. Great camping spots, electric or rustic. Great swimming, hiking, and playgrounds. Lots of wildlife and the places is absolutely beautiful. Gorgeous environment, wish I could have stayed longer. Was with my 3-yr old and she had a blast as well.

We camped at this park for a weekend of camping and hiking. The campsites were reasonably priced with plenty of room for multiple tents, fire rings, a well-stocked camp store, and excellent bathrooms with showers. What would have made this nicer would have been if the sites had been along the nearby creek and allowed swimming. We hiked several of... More

The swimming area is not observed by a life guard, at least when we were there, but the picnic area and beach were super clean. My 6 year olds had a blast catching newts and tadpoles. The bathrooms were in great shape, too. A hidden gem back off the road. It was worth the trip.

I moved here from the state of Texas many years ago. I love the state of Pennsylvania for its beauty. I think that many of the residence in this great state take their surrounding scenery for granted. I for one do not! This is a beautiful state and I would recommend a visit here to any friend or family member.... More

Boulder field is something you have to experience at least once in your life! You can hike to it, or drive right up to the entrance. There are many picnic areas with grills to... More

We had a great time at Hickory Run. We hiked to the Boulder Field. This is something to see. You can also drive to it in a car. The park is spotless and has great shower and restroom facilities. We will definitely come back again.

Was surprised you can basically drive right up to the boulder field, so expected more hiking involved. But, a very cool think to see & do with the kids! My boys loved it.

Beautiful scenery on the Shades of Death trail - ominous name but well worth the trip. Great add on to a whitewater rafting trip in the Lehigh River Gorge.

This is a very nice state park with swimming in a fresh water lake, hiking on some very good trails, lots of woods all around, camping, wildlife, and unique vistas... Don't miss Boulder Field, an amazing site...about a square mile of boulders brought down by the last ice age...really remarkable... The road to get there is gravel and fairly well... More
