Park with not alot of services. The boulder field is amazing but off of a 6 miles dirt road loop with very little parking. No rangers anyplace. Roads that are paved are in bad shape.

We visited Hickory Run yesterday for the first time and we loved it. The park was very clean and we saw park rangers throughout the day, which shows the park is well cared for. The trails are absolutely beautiful, the beach area very nice and clean. I did not see any geese droppings by the water, as I've seen on... More

We chose Hickory Run for our first attempt at week-long camping. We have a pop-up camper. The summer prior to this trip, we spent the day there checking out the facilities and activities. We chose our site at that time, after walking the campground. Pros: The campground is wooded and beautiful. Many of the sites (over 300) are quite large.... More

Stopped here to camp on a road trip from NYC. Great camping spots, electric or rustic. Great swimming, hiking, and playgrounds. Lots of wildlife and the places is absolutely beautiful. Gorgeous environment, wish I could have stayed longer. Was with my 3-yr old and she had a blast as well.

We camped at this park for a weekend of camping and hiking. The campsites were reasonably priced with plenty of room for multiple tents, fire rings, a well-stocked camp store, and excellent bathrooms with showers. What would have made this nicer would have been if the sites had been along the nearby creek and allowed swimming. We hiked several of... More

The swimming area is not observed by a life guard, at least when we were there, but the picnic area and beach were super clean. My 6 year olds had a blast catching newts and tadpoles. The bathrooms were in great shape, too. A hidden gem back off the road. It was worth the trip.

I moved here from the state of Texas many years ago. I love the state of Pennsylvania for its beauty. I think that many of the residence in this great state take their surrounding scenery for granted. I for one do not! This is a beautiful state and I would recommend a visit here to any friend or family member.... More

Hickory Run is a fantastic find! The park is very clean and well maintained. There are many trails to hike and plenty of sights to see! Boulder field is something you have to experience at least once in your life! You can hike to it, or drive right up to the entrance. There are many picnic areas with grills to... More

We had a great time at Hickory Run. We hiked to the Boulder Field. This is something to see. You can also drive to it in a car. The park is spotless and has great shower and restroom facilities. We will definitely come back again.
