Kennywood is the only real amusement park in Pittsburgh so it's hard for people to compare if they haven't been to any others. We went on a monday to avoid the crowds--bad call. Place was still silly busy. Seemed like there were alot of school bands and other groups there this particular day. Lines were long everywhere and worse some... More

I live an hour away from here and go at least once a year. I LOVE the park. It is not too big that you can't get through everything in a day and it isn't too small that you get bored. It is perfect for young and old. It is nice for families with small children at the kiddy park... More

We visited Kennywood with our extended family on a Friday in August. It was crowded, but my family is used to that as we have been Disney annual pass holders when our kids were younger. We arrived to a line of cars and no one posted to direct traffic. Most of the parking is free, but finding it is a... More

We came here to enjoy a nice summer day. After buying tickets a few days before at a Giant Eagle, we came over and found a rather small park full of plenty of kiddie rides we passed on. There were some fun rides like Black Widow and Phantom's Revenge, but we also found some bogeys like Garfield's Nightmare. We were... More

We were interested in riding the historic wooden roller coasters. They were great and lots of fun. We went on a Friday evening taking advantage of the 1/2 price Night Riders after 5 pm. It was difficult to find a space in the free parking. The Gondola from the very high parking lot to the park and back was the... More

I've been going to Kennywood for years. Three generations go and all have a marvelous time. The entrance price is low compared to amusement parks in Virginia. Plus, you can find coupons on their website for the special community days. You are allowed to bring in coolers with food and drinks (no alcohol), which saves a lot of money. The... More

Great family fun for adolescent to teens. Lots to do for thrill seekers and mild riders alike. The weekend before school starts is very crowded though. Long waits for every ride made the day drag.

My daughters cellphone unfortunately fell out of her pocket on the sky rocket. We told the worker at the ride exit that we are from out of town and she sent us to the service center. We were told that normally they would not even begin to be able to look until the next day when maintenance comes in so... More
