I have been here multiple times through out the years and it never seems to dissapoint. Although I wish there were some alternate food options the rides are always great fun. I like to ride the less serious roller costers and build up to The Phantom.

Haven't been back here in twenty years and brought our granddaughter from Washington state to enjoy what our daughter enjoyed years ago. The park has a ride for everyone. If you have very little kids the kiddy land is also great for them. The rides are well maintained and the overall cleanliness of the park is exceptional. I would have... More

Get your tickets at the Giant to save money. Got there when the gates opened at 1030 but they don't start the rides until 1100 :( Had a good time, waits were not extraordinarily long but the teens operating the rides are not in any hurry to get people on and off. Often they would stand around and chat (esp... More

It has been 18 years since I was last at Kennywood. This time, I came with my wife and two children (12 and 14) who had never been there. If you are familiar with PA amusement parks, Kennywood is a cross between Knoebels and Hershey Park. It has a throw back feel and the option of free parking (or $7... More

Taking a trip to Kennywood is liking taking a trip back in time. It might not be as big as other parks but it's got an old school charm that is hard to find this day and age. The food is outstanding. The corn dogs are my favorite corn dogs and the fries at potatoes patch are amazing. The old... More

I grew up with Kennywood in my 55 years, and I have to say it has always been ranked right up there with the likes of Disney. But my last visit proved every dream that I ever had, very disappointing. Absolutely no home-like feel, like it used to have. No customer service to be found anywhere. Very young, immature kids,... More

And not in a good way. It use to be such a wonderful place to go and take your family I'm really failing to see why I would want to take my niece back to this establishment. The fee to get into the park is insane for it being such a small park with not much to offer. The food... More

It can be a bit pricey, but if you go to the Giant Eagle (right across the road) you can buy discount tickets that save you about $11 dollars a person. Make sure to ask about senior and other discounts as well. We had a wonderful time. WE arrrived a few minutes before rides started at 11 so the lines... More

The owners statement reads, "America’s Favorite Traditional Amusement Park since 1898". Some of the park has seen it's better days and some of it is quite new with great rides. We enjoyed riding the coasters--all of them several times--and the Black Widow was worth the wait. I agree with many of the people who've written about long lines, poor customer... More

I have been a huge fan of this park's sister park, Idelwild. Idelwild is a park for kids 2-10, and is located about 30 miles to the northeast of Kennywood. Kennywood is a better fit for the 8-adult crowd, although has some rides for smaller kids. Kennywood is an old park -- in existence for over 100 years. The roller... More
