As a teacher, I've enjoyed the "traveling Trunks" and field trip options available for school children. Their staff is very knowledgeable about Chester County. The museum is family friendly and suggest you visit their website for their every changing calendar of events. The Historical Society also rents for private events.

My wife took the family here because she wanted to do historical research of her family, with roots in the area. This place us well-designed and quiet- very serious library atmosphere. There is a whole procedure for copying historical dicuments.

We went for the 60's Movie memorabilia exhibit-fun to see how many movies we saw as teens! It's housed i a fun, old building with friendly staff.

This is a small but excellent museum with displays, changing exhibits and a library dedicated to the history of Chester County. Chester County's affluence is reflected in the collection showing a wealth of tall clocks, portraiture, silver and fine furniture. A section is for children with period clothes to try and children's toys and games of the past.

Reviewing this as a venue for event only, not touring the museum. Went here for a charity event and I was impressed. They had a coat check and someone at the front desk to direct us to the event. The staircase is a nice entrance and the room itself that the event was in was spacious and had a stage.... More

I am specifically reviewing the Historical Clothing Exhibit that the Museum recently showed and was tremendously impressed by the variety and quality of the clothing. The Museum also presented the clothing in a beautiful and artful way, very professional. I thoroughly enjoyed my visit to the Museum.

We went into this place thinking it would take us 15 or 20 minutes to peruse everything they had. A couple of hours later, we were still investigating the awesome array of historic memorabilia in the place. Not to be missed.
