Always looking for interesting "Santa" themed events. We decided to go on the West Chester Railroad this year. It runs from WC to Glen Mills, where you get off, visit with Santa, and return to train for the trip back. There is a person singing Christmas themed carols in your car and Santa wanders through during your trip. They handed... More

The 90 minutes with Christmas carols with 2 banjo players, hot chocolate from the snack bar and visit with Santa...:what a fun experience for kids (and adults with them!). Train leaves from the West Chester station on Market St. and stops in Glen Mills for an extra picture, then back to West Chester. If you go on a cold day... More

I took a group of 10 including 6 children and I would say the only part that made me feel I wasted money was the people who worked there. From the man who gave us tickets to the guy at the snack counter, they were miserable and would not even smile or even act like they wanted to be there.... More

Have used this the past 3 yrs for Santa and Easter Bunny. Great for infants to teens plus parents. Total trip is 90 minutes. 30 minutes each way and 30 minutes with Santa/Easter Bunny and a stroll by the river. There is food and music the whole time.

Great ride on an historic train. Staff are volunteers who dress in period uniforms and are happy to answer any questions about the train. Scenic ride through beautiful fall leaves. Price was reasonable; $15 for Adults. Snacks available for purchase on the train. Heated cars are fine for cool weather. Was a fun, out of the ordinary adventure.

There's nothing like taking a ride on the scenic WCRR. Santa's Express is always a thrill for the little ones. The teens and adults will enjoy the scenic ride through the country. I think they run 3 or 4 trains on Sat & Sun during December.

Our family took the train ride on a regular weekend from West Chester to Glen Mills. The scenery with the fall leaves was fantastic and was good to learn some about history of the area. The volunteer staff was absolutely great.

The scenic train ride on West Chester is a fun and memorable 90 minute train ride that starts at West Chester and ends in Glen Mills. We did the Pumpkin Train Ride as part of the Halloween celebrations and we were lucky the weather was on our side. Taking the train ride is like a ride through history since it... More

Took our grand kids on this wonderful, though short, train ride. There was Santa, hot chocolate and singing. The kids loved it. We stopped and visited an old train station and then rode back to West Chester. The kids loved it....parking is easy and what a fun way to start the Christmas Holidays but with a Holiday Train...and Santa of... More
