Very cold, not heated. Seats so close no leg room truly. The stop for 20 minutes leaves nothing to see and is too small for the passengers to go in and warm up.

This is a great family outing to celebrate any holiday or just have fun. The Santa Express is a 90 minute train ride from West Chester to Glen Mills and back to West Chester. Upon arriving at Glen Mills, you can exit the train and the children can go in the station and sit on Santa's lap. There is a... More

I took the Fall Foliage train today. It was sunny and bright and the foliage was beautiful. A little past peak but the sun glistened on the leaves. You follow a creek that runs back and forth along the railroad tracks. In about a half hour you wind up in Glen Mills. At Glenn Mills there is a small quaint... More

We enjoyed this trip several times with our grandchildren. It's a very old train and the seats could use some work but it's a fun party especially with Santa. At Christmas time you can actually take the Christmas tree train, which stops at a tree farm where you can choose a tree. Then it's loaded on to the train. This... More

We took this for the Fall trip and were pleased with it. Friendly volunteers run the train service which winds its way slowly from West Chester to Glen Mills. The train had two passenger cars and a buffet car to get snacks and drinks. It was nice to sit in an old railway car and enjoy the beautiful scenery at... More

We took the weekend trip to view fall colors. It is a nice ride , a bit small. Though with the low ticket prices there isn't too much to complain. The overall duration is 1.5 hrs with half an hr in each direction with a half hr stopover. The stopover has a small eating area between the woods. Lots of... More

Our family, including grand children - infants up to & including 9 year old, have taken the Santa Train two or three different years. We just bought tickets for this year & it's not yet Halloween, as the kids are already asking if we're going.

This was a great 90 minute train ride with Lex and Harper. Fun with costumes and the haunted Train Car. The cars are old but in great condition. Train stops at the Glen Mills Station to visit a station museum and a small shop.

Yo get to ride on vintage raildoad equipment for a short run from town out into the country along a scenic stream. It is about a twenty five minute ride out at a slow pace. There is a stop at a picnic area where you can get out a stretch or eat a quick lunch you packed. Whistles signal the... More

We've done the Santa Train ride a couple times. The ride is bumpy. Always fun when Santa visits and when the musicians get the entire train car singing festive tunes. The cars aren't heated (or if they are, not very well), so be sure to dress appropriately. We took along a thermos of hot chocolate and some non-messy snacks for... More
