We've been visiting the Wellsboro area and the Grand Canyon since 1971. Animalland was our favorite place to take the kids. We've been back a few times recently with the grand children and it''s not as enjoyable as years ago. Might be us, maybe we're too familiar with it! Ity's definitely worth a visit.

The minute we stepped on the porch the gift shop smelled "animal"! The paths are definitely not handicap but easy to trip or slip on. Path out in the woods made you keep an eye out for rattlers. I was shocked at the condition of the animal quarters. The place was filthy dirty! Disgusting! The poor Bears did not have... More

I took my sons there many times as they were growing up(15 years ago)and it was fun, however today the smell of urine in the gift shop was over powering! Many animals missing and I was embarrassed that I subjected my friend to the smell.

I felt so bad for all the animals here. They look sad, hungry, dry and unhealthy. Their enclosures did not have enough natural habitat to keep them happy. The poor bears have such small cages, and nothing to do. My boyfriend asked the guy about the horse's hair that was missing. He said they lose their hair this time of... More

This place is totally disgusting in the way these poor animals are kept. The animal welfare people should shut this place down. The whole thing is filthy dirty, with the bears in tiny cages, tiger in a tiny cage. Depressing & heartbreaking to see. This is animal cruelty completely, so these people can make dollars. The other reviews are correct,... More

We was just there on Saturday with our family and the animals looked like they are very well taken care of and we will keep going back there and I have seen him feed his bears and tiger as for the people that are complaining about it I guess you can go somewhere else and witch bout it. And we... More

This animal land is NOT an animal land! It has very few animals who live in poor conditions and the gift shop reeked of cat pee because there cats were free to roam wherever they wanted and defacate as well! They also over charge for this place. It's absolutely ridiculous and a joke! I don't understand how they stay in... More

I was shocked. I can't believe they are legally allowed to house animals. My daughter was so upset at the condition of some of these animals. Missing patches of fur on multiple animals, blood where horns used to be, thin, mean. And yes they allow their own cats to urinate & defecated in their store. I am calling. Very disheartening

We spent $16 to smell this most (only) urine infested gift shop I've ever been in. I did not see one wild cat, tiger, or bobcat. It is pretty much a small petting zoo with various deer and goats and 2 bears in a cage eating a tire- because bears eat rubber, ya know. The price should be $2 per... More

This place is absolutley horrible. DO NOT take anyone there. The building itself that you walk into that has gifts reeks of cat urine! The animals have mange and look so depressed. I felt so bad for them! I don't understand how they are still in business!!
