excellent place for family picnicking, our family has been camping, picnicking, hiking and fishing at the canyon for 4 generations. Spring , Summer and most especially the fall each offer their own unique opportunities, picturesque waterfalls to natures color pallet visiting during each season is recommended

Great place to hike. We did part of the rim trail - amazing views along the way. Probably breathtaking in the fall.

I was in the area due to work and all that the co-workers kept mentioning was that of "PA's Grand Canyon"! So.... Had to visit before heading home; and have to say it was WELL WORTH IT! First of all, don't go with that "Grand Canyon" in your mind. Not even close to the original Grand Canyon but still a... More

Awesome vistas! Absolutely stunning views from the overlooks. The viewing areas are well built, and very well maintained. Looking down the 4,000' drop to the creek below is humbling. The majesty of the mountains is astounding. Visit and enjoy.

While in Wellsboro's, we wanted to see the sights and spend time outdoors. We got to do both with a visit to the park. We had breathtaking views of the Canyon and got to hike the Turkey path . What a fun day.

Less than 10 miles off US 6 and a world away. Beautiful views of the valley! Quiet in November and only 2 other cars there when we visited. We stuck to just the overlook area and did not venture down the hiking trail as it was late in the day. Missed the signs to the other state park on the... More

We thoroughly enjoyed our fall trip to the park. It is clean and well maintained. There are two trails--- one to the bottom of the canyon and one little circular trail that was challenging enough for a couple in their 70's...had nice outlooks and great colors at this time of year....also a couple had a wagon with maple products -... This is a little off the beaten path, but well worth the detour. This is a well designed outlook post with a large parking lot, bathrooms and large paved area to view The Grand Canyon of Pennsylvania. We were only passing through so could only spent 30 minutes here, but the view was spectacular and a quick walk down to... More

Still nice in November, quiet and less people. Probably awesome in Spring and Fall colors. Hike to bottom

A bit hard to get to ( not very well marked on the road ) but once you are there it is very well maintained and the trails are varied.
