My family traveled here to view that PA Grand Canyon this summer. We had a great time! The views are beautiful everywhere you are. Be prepared to hike several difficult trails in order to see everything there is to see here, but it is well worth the adventure. The switchback trail down into the canyon is a must-do. You will... Spent a few days camping August 2014. Not a large campground, but the facilities are new and well maintained. During our stay the campground was never more than half full. The hike to the bottom of the canyon via the Turkey Trot trail is nice. Would love to see the area in the Fall.

We hiked the Turkey Path from top to the canyon floor, and back up. We had contacted the park ranger in advance, and he met us a the overlooks and gave us a half hour discussion on the history of the canyon, the two parks (Harrison and Colton Point), and the natural forces that formed it. The path was well... More

We didn't do the hike to bottom of the canyon an hour and half hike. We did do the Overlook trail which had some amazing views!

This park is great -- the billing as the "Grand Canyon of Pennsylvania" is not overdone. It could have more trails, but the scenery is certainly striking. We would highly recommend it as a stop if you enjoy nature hikes, even if it is out of your way a bit.

What's not to love about this park? We walked to the East Rim lookout which is so well maintained and includes nice rest rooms. The view is amazing and is a great spot to see a lot if you don't have much time to spend in Wellsboro. There was a food vendor there and we were grateful for some cold... More

This is a short drive from Wellsboro, PA and worth the visit. Make sure you visit from BOTH sides as the views are very different.
