To fully enjoy the beauty of this place, which include the Grand Canyon of PA (properly called Pine Creek Gorge), you must hike down the Turkey Trail to the gorge. Before you do so, there are overlooks that give you spectacular views down and around the gorge. But, if you hike down the trail, you will see a couple of... More

Not as grand as The Grand Canyon but very nice for east of the Mississippi :) Very children friendly and easy to walk along the paved wide walkway with views of the canyon and river below. Clean restrooms available and a little food cart with ice cream, shakes and popcorn. I'm sure it's beautiful during the fall foliage season and... More

Well what is there to really addy. There are a number of hiking trails to explore. I was with my dad who can't walk well but the regular views here were easily accessible. The place is well maintained, only thing lacking was the gift shop, the options were pretty sparse and they were out of many sizes.

We visited the PA Grand Canyon for the weekend. We first visited the Leonard Harrison State Park, east side. Gorgeous views at the top! We hiked the Turkey Path, about 1.5 miles down to the bottom of the gorge. It wasn't too bad going down, but coming up was a bit of a challenge. Lots of steep grade, a little... More

A really breathtaking set of views from the various overlooks in the park. Had a great walk through the paths and took tons of photos.

Hard to get to, but really really beautiful. The Turkey Path hike down to the bottom of the gorge--past waterfalls--is well worth the trek, though you do have to come back up :) The views are breathtaking. And yay, nice bathrooms with flush toilets.

Fantastic views, restrooms, a difficult and long trail (Turkey Path) for hikers, and some educational aspect plus a video. Great place to check out!

Although we've often heard about the Grand Canyon of PA, we had never seen it before this trip. TAke the time to do some hiking around the park, and get there early before the crowds descend. I'm not sure if this is worth a special trip to see, but if you are in the area, it's a must see.

I spent 3 days and nights at Leonard harrison state park with my 2 boys (aged 8&10), and my 74 year old father (you'd never know he's 75!). Nice people, beautiful campground, and quiet at night! The overlook and the trails are intense... I have to say, including campground, food, gas, and miscellaneous expenses, this spur of the moment trip... More
