For $22 this train ride ( we did not do the dinner ride, or the ice cream express) takes you 12 miles along highway 287 to the beautiful Hammond lake and back. Had I known this prior, I could have gotten the same scenery out of my car window, and saved some $$. They give you a small pamphlet to... More

My husband had never been on a train before, so this was a planned destination during our visit to the area in early October. Even though it was cold and rainy, I insisted we sit in the "open air" car so I could take pictures along the way. We had a blast, as we were the only two crazy enough... More

My wife and I took the 2 hour dinner ride and enjoyed it very much, the food was very good- chicken and ribs, it also included peach cobbler and strawberry shortcake. Good value. I appreciated Chef Shannon and his staff greeting all of us and asking how our meal was- very impressive. Highly recommend.

This is a neat place to visit and ride. We started in 1988 and still continue to go back. Our children have enjoyed the train ride.

Moved here years back. First and second time were nice and scenic. As time went on, charm of it was gone because like others stated.... Wait time increased, and they built things along the rail road that blocked the beautiful scenery. First half hour you are looking at metal drums and walls and buildings. Has workers stuff. Not cool, especially... More

Stopped on our bus tour of the area. Lunch choice of Caesar Chicken or Lasagna with Meatballs. Ate on the train in the dining car. Both selections were terrible. Lasagna noodles were rubbery and under-cooked, sauce was tasteless, basically just tomato paste. Caesar salad chicken was a stone cold wrap with gray chicken rolled in it, no resemblance to a... While in Wellsboro area took a ride on the Tioga Railroad. East access to get on for anyone who has limited mobility. A long ramp onto the train is great. A ride through the countryside past Hammond Lake. Very relaxing. They also have a lunch and a dinner ride. See them on line.
