We've been on a lot of scenic train rides in PA. This ride is longer (with a bathroom & snacks on board) but the scenery is just OK. Really only good from one side of the train. Nothing more than you see on a drive around the area. Enjoyed the open air car & it was a very nice day.... More

Well guys it's been a while and I need to catch up on the 100s of places I've been so far since my last report. I'm a big train fan especially diesel! We travelled up from NY City round trip of about 10 hours and stayed in Corning. Not a bad little railroad, but we found some of the train... More

WE had dinner on the train and not only were the sights fantastic, the meal was absolutely wonderful. Hard to believe it is prepared on the train, but it is and the Chef came out to talk to all his guests. Very quaint and very comfortable. Loved it!!

We went with our small children. They quickly became board with the lack of entertainment and scenery. We enjoyed the mountain views. However the kids didn't seem to care too much. The way back we had to keep them entertained to avoid a meltdown. Most of the slow moving trip is through people's yards and factories.

It is a must when in the area. You might try the Sunday Brunch on the train. The open cars are the place to sit and enjoy the experience.

My husband and daughter set up the entire weekend as a surprise. We had a fabulous time on the train. The staff, especially the lady in red, were extremely friendly and very courteous. The meal on the train was above and beyond any thing we could have asked for. We plan on making our next trip this fall with our daughters!

We took the excursion on June 14, 2014 and it was a great experience. The meal was prepared to perfection and the wait staff were on the ball throughout the whole trip. They were accommodating, pleasant, efficient and helped make the experience one to remember. We were truly treated as guests.

Took this trip on a rainy afternoon and it was very enjoyable. Very nice scenery even in the rain. Was a nice little side trip.

Visiting the Railroad is one thing that this is not...You basically park, wait for the train to arrive (hope its not raining, there is no place to get in out of the rain except your car), get on the train and away you go. If you order the Dinner/train ride, you get a full course meal prepared, we were told,... More

The railroad is a different way to spend a couple of hours. The staff is mostly volunteers who seem to be very cordial and to truly enjoy what they do. The train has some comfortable touring cars and an open air car that was a real treat given the perfect the weather we had during the trip. The train did... More
