Lots of fun but you are the captain.

Very organized and efficient. Our guide, Cory, was awesome! Not only did he know the waters, he had so much information about the area. Lunch and dinner were delicious. Everyone was friendly and worked with each other.

This Grammy took my 9 & 12 year old grandkids for their first rafting experience. I chose the family friendly weekday trip, which was a good decision. It was exciting enough for them without being boring at all. They loved it! The swims, splashing and small rapids were lots of fun. They want to kick it up a notch next... More

Lucky kids! Sounds like a great day with grammy. Our weekday family style rafting trips are perfect for beginners. Try rafting in the spring time or on a dam release whitewater trip (trips suitable for ages 9+) for the next step up on the Lehigh River. On-river time depends on the water levels and the amount of rain we get.... More

This was a fun day on the river. We got the tickets for $30.00 a person. We followed the instructions and arrived early. Breakfast was included and was good. Pancakes eggs ham and potatoes. We checked in got our life vests and onto the bus we went. About a 25 minute ride on the bus and we arrived at the... More

Thanks for rafting with us! After a few rainy days the water levels are great for rafting. In the summer and fall we offer family style trips on every non-dam release date. These are our most affordable trips with discounted rates for children 14 and under. For an adventure that is the next step up try rafting the Lehigh River... More

Four of us went on a dam release day. It was hot and the our assigned arrival time was 12:20. Because of the crowds, we had to sit on the school bus for quite a while and did not actually get on the river until 3 pm. The 13 mile trip took about 4 hours and then we exited the... More

Part of the fun of the Lehigh River is the challenge of navigating down the river. The guides are in place to ensure the safety of the guests, warn of upcoming rapids, and tell you the best route to take down the river. Occasionally our guests do end up going for a "swim" as we call it. You followed our... More

Total disorganization put my child at risk!! First of all, we were not provided with helmets. Then, they gave us very little instruction. When we arrived at the rafts I couldn't understand why there were no guides with so many inexperienced rafters. They put me in charge of a group of people who had no idea what they were doing.... If this were an accurate portrayal of Whitewater Challengers, we would feel compelled to close our doors today. For 43 years, we have provided safe and exciting whitewater rafting tours on rivers throughout Pennsylvania and New York. We feature one safety video on our web site; a second large screen safety video at our rafting center; and a third safety... More

The trip and company lived up to all our expectations. Adults, teens and kids all had a great time. Very organized setup from when you arrive to finishing the trip. Friendly and knowledgable guides with a focus on safety. A perfect day helped as well and some pretty good whitewater. Hope we can try one of the other rivers next.

We'd love to have you join us for an adventure on the Hudson, Black or Salmon River in NY. Each trip has unique challenges and scenery, but all with a great crew of Whitewater Challengers guides. Call or check the website for minimum age/height requirements for each river if you are bringing younger kids. More

This was our second time with this company. Very friendly personal and very well organized. We had a GREAT time. One of the normal guides was off the day we went and was rafting with a couple of his friends so we jumped in that raft and had a blast. We'll be back next year for sure. I don't know... More

Had such a blast with the Whitewater Challengers. A big Thank you to Trey for helping get our raft free of a big rock. My first time white water rafting, but I wasn't nervous at all after watching the safety video and listening to the staff's instructions. Their property was much larger than I was expecting, and they all ran... More

There was a lot of problem making the reservation online, and then when we called we were first told they were sold out then when other person from our party (of 9) called they said there was room available. The river was not as rough as we expected even though it was a dam release weekend. We also thought we... More

So sorry you had trouble with the online reservation. The online system was intermittent twice recently, and that issue has been addressed. As for the trip itself, the upper and lower gorges are both Class II-III whitewater, and are more or less interchangeable. The lower is a tad longer on the water, but also has longer flat sections in it.... More

If you were to ask my wife she would tell you we almost died. I would not characterize it that dramatically. We got caught on rock/other raft. the raft flipped. Long story short everyone was ok, one of the rafters lost her glasses but all of the other stuff was recovered so no big. The other time on the river... More

Occasionally rafts will flip and some rafters end up going for an unexpected swim. Our guides are trained to respond to these situations and get everyone safely back into the rafts. We are glad to hear the trip was enjoyable and we would love to see you on the river again soon! More
