A good time was had by all even after we flipped the raft

If you were to ask my wife she would tell you we almost died. I would not characterize it that dramatically. We got caught on rock/other raft. the raft flipped. Long story short everyone was ok, one of the rafters lost her glasses but all of the other stuff was recovered so no big. The other time on the river... More

This was my second time to White Challengers- the first was about 26+ years ago...but I still remember the trip fondly, which is why I decided to bring my husband and kids for this go around. My girls are 11 and 13 and love adventure, but since it was their first rafting trip, I decided to go with the easy... More

Wait for a few days of heavy rain or come out for a scheduled dam-release weekend to kick it up a notch. The weekend of July 25-26 and every weekend in August is a dam release. It's great that your girls are ready for their next adventure! More

Personally, this was my 4th time on this trip; the first with scouts. The group camp site was very nice. The older boys found the river a challenge, while the younger ones were still able to help out on the mom boats. The Lehigh Dam release is a great first rafting trip for any age. The WC outpost has everything... More

We are looking forward to seeing you raft the Lehigh again. Be sure to join us on a Scout Raft Rally weekend to enjoy specialized programs and get Scout patches and certificates for each rafter. More

Went with my son's Boy Scout troop for overnight camping and white water rafting. It was our first time for each activity. We were not there on a dam release day but the guides said that heavy rains just before resulted in a slightly higher water flow than we would have gotten on a typical dam release. As a result... If you're looking for more adventure check out our rafting trips on the Hudson River or Black River in New York for Class IV-V rapids. The Lehigh River is a great experience for youth and beginners, perfect for Scout Troops. Good pointer on the wet suits. They won't keep you dry but they do an excellent job of keeping you... More

Second time for Whitewater Challengers! Had a blast piloting downstream! Plan on getting wet! But you don't have to be a boating expert to survive the ride!

We'll see you again when it's time for trip #3. Getting splashed by the rapids is half the fun! More

We had a great trip going rafting after some initial fears. We had been on a previous "easy" float trip in upstate NY so that is what we were expecting. Not this time!! We had our 5 year old with us and that is why we wanted something easy like a float. On the day we went the guide told... More

It's been a rainy season and there have been many days where the water levels are higher than normal adding to the excitement of trip. The longer bus ride goes to the milder section of river where the rapids are more suited for our young rafters. Our guides that accompany the trip in kayaks are there to ensure your safety... More

We decided to go white water rafting over 4th of July weekend. My husband had visited Whitewater Challengers over 20 years ago and he still had fond memories of the trip! We opted to go with our girls, 13 and 10. We had a fabulous time! The guides were knowledgeable, helpful and very engaging. Everything was very well organized -... More

We are honored to be part of your family tradition! The water levels have great this season thanks to all of the rain and many unscheduled dam releases. More

9 years with 3 different troops and it keeps getting better! Camping is close together, but camping isn't the focus of the trip, rafting (or whatever activities you're doing) are. Well run, decent food with the meal plan, great snack bar and trading post.

Whitewater Challengers offers Scout Troops a place to experience the outdoors from many different perspectives: rafting on the river, camping under the stars, zip lining through the air, and biking the trails. Everything available right from our Adventure Center. We'll see you again for year 10! More

we come every august and rent the bunk houses. the best rafting is actually when the water is deeper. if there isn't a lot of rain that its harder to navigate the rocks.

Agreed, when the water levels are higher and faster it is easier to navigate down the river. This is what makes dam release weekends so much fun. We will see you on the river in August! More

My daughter's Girl Scout troop did a 7 mile trip with all the girls and the dads on the Lehigh river. The trip was great and the girls and dads had a great time. The guides did a great job with safety and instructions and made sure we all stayed together. The river was perfect for the 4th grade girls... More
