This place is a treasure. Located in the rolling hills of Radnor Township twenty miles west of Philadelphia, Chanticleer is like a smaller scale of Longwood Gardens - but better! Paths meander through fields of flowers and ferns and water moments. Don't miss it!

So far the most beautiful garden I've been to in US with excellent maintenance. You can see a professional touch in every corner of it. I didn't see anything kitschy. Diverse landscape and state of art design gives this garden a kick. As another rewiever mentioned you can go there almost every week and find something different. There are plenty... More

If you love gardens, this is a great place to visit. The gardens are located on the grounds of a magnificent old estate. While beautiful flowers predominate, the gardens include a variety of natural habitats.

The gardens are small, and have limited open availability. The main path is only a mile long; however, there are many side trails and plenty of open roaming space. We went at the peak of the flower season, and everything was in bloom. It smelled equally as exquisit as it looked! There are plenty of restrooms, and several picnic areas;... More

This is a beautiful place. Colorful plantings along private trails and paved pathways. You could go every week and see something new. Always being updated.

This is a wonderful destination for a quiet afternoon stroll...or just sitting beneath the trees contemplating the natural splendor. The gardens are exceptionally well maintained and are landscaped with a wide variety of plants and flowers. It it typically not very crowded, and there's plenty of space to be alone.

A well maintained elegant old estate. This place is more than worth a few hours when visiting the western suburbs of Philadelphia!

Chanticleer epitomizes what can happen when talented gardeners are permitted to use their creativity instead of just their brawn. Chanticleer is the polar opposite of the stilted and stuffy Longwood. You are actually allowed to run or roll down the hill near the estate house. I cannot tell you how much my teens enjoyed doing this as children. No plant... More

Was told this is where they filmed Twilight (Chanticleer Point). I hate those movies. The view was alright, but too windy to take a pic without getting blown over!

Chanticleer has pristine manicured grounds. The architecture is beautiful. Definitely worth a visit for a tour of the property!
