Chanticleer is an amazing garden. It's about sights, sounds, textures, aromas and whimsy. Where Longwood is big and bold, Chanticleer is intimate and personnel. We went on a warm summer Sunday afternoon and had no problems with parking or crowds. In many areas it felt like our personnel garden. I can only imagine.

Visited Sissinghurst Castle in UK in May and Chanticleer last week. Both gardens are highly touted. When you have great expectations, it can lead to disappointment. I enjoyed both gardens and found Chanticleer the superior. Beautiful unexpected touches; a fountain gurgling in the midst of a stream, arrangements in vases in the middle of the woods, carved out hole in... More

This garden is not the formal and elegant Longwood, but it doesn't have to be~ there's a pleasant surprise or special view around every corner. Color, structure, imagery, statuary and great imagination embrace every detail. Please go and support this well maintained property. We did the 90 minute tour, worth every minute!

As the previous reviews already show you, this place is fabulous. This beautiful Shangrilah is where you would want to be baptized, married, and buried. A little strange to say, but it's that gorgeous. The owner is a true connoisseur of class and elegance.

A truly wonderful garden and place to spend an hour or two, even take a picnic. The flowers, ponds, trees, koi, and plants are beautfiul.

visiting this place is a must for all humans before dying, just to have a glimpse of what heaven might look like. you can even go picnic there. i would love to go and spend hours there listening to water sounds and relax. a couple of things i need to mention, the lack of trash cans and the fact that... Very nice. If you don't have the option of taking the house tour, don't worry. It's pleasant, but you don't really see much inside (besides, the gardens are better). Having said that, it is nice to learn more about Chanticleer and the family from the tour guide. Our guide said that every two weeks, the grounds are different, and I'd... More

This is the most amazing place. Tucked into this Wayne neighborhood. Every time I go I see something new. They change the gardens with each new season and probably monthly. On Friday night they are open and welcome picnicking, within reason. If your interested read the rules because I want this I lace around.

Very tranquil gardens to walk through. You can stop and read or just rest and enjoy the gardens. The home is beautiful. Smaller version of Longwood Gardens.
