What a jewel, right in my own backyard! Season pass and admission is very reasonable so one can visit many times. There are so many amazing sections there's something new to discover every visit. Or just bring a book and sit in one of the many chairs and just relax. Picnic tables also available to bring lunch or a snack.... More

Beautifully landscaped - serene setting. Lovely areas to explore as well as to sit with a good book on a sunny day. Parking can be a bit challenging if crowded.

I have been many times and always love it. Perfect size, good variety of areas with many delightful and unexpected surprises. Wonderful in spring, summer or fall. I believe they are closed in winter. If I move back to the Wayne area I plan to volunteer here. I prefer Chanticleer over Longwood Gardens, but both are wonderful.

Beautiful gem of a garden with a wide wide array of plants, garden "rooms" and whimsical garden "sculptures", e.g. Water fountains and bridges. They also allow picnicking on Friday evenings!!!

I have been to Chanticleer a handful of times, as a very dear friend was a gardener there. It is such a special place with exquisite grounds and sculptures. It can be so regenerating to walk the paths, stop and sit for a while, have a picnic and appreciate nature designed by very talented people. I look forward to my... More

This is the former estate of a Philadelphia pharmaceutical magnate. The house was not open for touring the day we visited, but the sprawling gardens are lovely for walking. I particularly liked the ruins of one of the adult children's homes that have been left standing for plants to grow on. There are open grassy areas, a delightfulbridge sculpture, a... More

We come here monthly and always find something interesting and beautiful. Plenty of picnic tables in all area. The new bridge area is accessible for wheelchairs and is wide as well as wide pathways. I have seen in their ponds turtles, some small snakes basking in the sun as well as chipmunks and once a fox running the length of... More
