If you like hiking and mountainous terrain, this is a lovely spot to explore. We took the pets to enjoy the day and were delighted to find trails and the Kinzua Bridge State Park and Skywalk. It's worth the drive to see one of the oldest viaducts in the country. Steam driven trains crossed over the bridge until 2002, when... More

Nice lake in a nice area of Pennsylvania. Cute dam. I'm not really certain why this would be considered an attraction in light of the fact that the Allegheny National forest is nearby. If you're into lake vista photo ops, then this is your spot.

A very nice lake with so much to see and do. It's big enough for large boats while having plenty of interest for kayaking and exploring. Good fishing opportunities. There's not much development or traffic on the area so it makes for a quiet visit.

I grew up in Warren County and watched the dam being built and the reservoir filled some decades ago. It's a beautiful area. There is a small museum on the lower entrance, plus gentle hiking trails, and overlooks both top and bottom. Once a year there's a bike run across the dam to raise money for veterans' assistance projects -... More

I live here so maybe am just a little jaded in that I think it was sad that it destroyed the Allegheny River valley and the Seneca's lost reservation land. To me, the reservoir has a sort of bathtub fake lake look. On the good side, the scenery there is very pretty, just below the dam is a great place... More

If you are looking for a great outdoor activity in the Allegheny national Forest, you must visit the Kinzua Dam! The scenery is breathtaking, especially if you visit during the Autumn foliage time! Great hiking trails as well.
