Fairly good size dam for this part of the country. If you're going into the Kinzua area then you pass it so stop. Check the days and hours so you can walk on top of it.

The Kinzua Dam is an outstanding Recreation Facility, surrounded by many many local attractions. It has been so since the 1960's when completed. The City of Warren is near-by and offers many places to visit, good restaurants and many many attractions.

We always take friend from out of town to visit the Dam. It is a hidden gem. I would recommend anyone coming through to spend some time adventuring around the area.

awesome place to visit especially in the fall. surrounding mountains around the lake and river are quite beautiful, be sure to take your camera. look for signs for Jakes Rocks, it's a upper cliff lookout where you can get a great view of the lake / reservoir from up high with great hiking trail. be sure to pack a picnic... Go to Casey Bridge on a nice day, any season and you will witness some of the most beautiful scenery anywhere. Have a meal and sit on the deck at Kinzua Marina, awesome view. Drive the area, dine at Westline and stay there too, your day will be great.

While hubby and I were on our way to our next hiking spot we saw a sign that the Kinzua Dam was ahead so we pulled into the lot and got out to take a look around and WOW what a big dam. There are signs posted with info on history and size of the dam and a sidewalk to... More

My husband and I stopped here after an overnight stay in Warren. It is easy and convenient to get to and has plenty of parking. It was a bit rainy and hazy morning, however the view was still amazing. This is worth a stop for anyone passing though.

While the entire experience may not offer that much in way of things to do, the dam is an impressive structure and worth stopping at for a few moments before heading up into the hills to admire the river and dam from up among the treetops. There is ample parking and you can walk a short way out towards the... More

Route 59 takes you from Warren to the Kinzua Dam and beyond. It is a winding road with truly picturesque scenery and places to take awesome pictures. Especially spectacular when the fall colors are at their peak.
