Skied there 2 days last week. Very picturesque with all the pine trees lining the trails. Not a large place, or very high (1000') but the trails are very nice. Nice lodge & bar area. It was bitter cold and the lifts are sloooow. That's the only drawback. Hope to visit again.

Went here with another family we are friends with. It was a good place to let our young teens go off and ski on their own without being too worried. A nice mix of trails and no lines over holiday. Tip: if you have your own gear you can park in an upper lot and ski onto the mountain. Pull... More

Let me preface my review by saying that my family, who skis, thoroughly enjoyed the facilities. I am writing as a non-skier, who wanted to take the trip with my family, but skip the slopes and enjoy the lodge. There is absolutely no spot in the lodge for a comfortable wait. The cafeteria benches are torturous for more than a... More

What Elk lacks in a fancy lodge or speedy lifts it makes up for in the best terrain in PA. Skiing/Riding Elk gives you a lot of the same feeling of resorts that are further North without the drive.

We visited Elk Mountain ski Resort on October Fest, I'm not a skier but i really love the view there, there was a very small cost to ride the ski lift and it is well worth the small cost, great food and friendly people

We visited in the fall and there was a crafters fair and $5 rides on the ski lift to the top of the mountain. Very scenic for this weekend.

I worked here for 10 years while going to high school. This is a decent resort with about 1,000 Vertical Feet. Although it does not compare to NE US or out West, it's not a bad ski location in NE PA. Great for beginners and intermediates.

This mountain has terrain for everyone and nice long runs. There is a mogul run that looks deadly for a PA mountain. The conditions were good and had nice grooming. I absolutely HATE how you have to park. There is no place for unloading equipment. Well - let me say - there is a place to unload equipment - but... More

Positives: Nice selection of groomed trails at all levels of difficulty. Easy access for our large ski club bus. Negatives: Not the greatest facilities. Tough to find a place to change clothing. No access to all day multi use lockers. Slow chair lifts. All in all we had great conditions and many nice trails to choose from; better than other... More

The skiing was very good for north eastern PA - we had superb conditions after a 12+ inch multi-day snowfall. It was very crowded this Presidents Day weekend, but everyone was good-natured. The prices can't be beat in their store or in their lodge - $12 for two hot lunch meals + drinks is a whole lot cheaper than elsewhere.... More
