Our group of 21 (all levels, from first time skiers to expert and a few snowboarders) spent a weekend skiing two full days (Sat/Sun) at Elk. It had not snowed in a while, but the conditions were great, trails well-groomed. It's not a great place for beginners b/c there are only a couple green trails and you will get bored... More

Average food. We are going back this winter because of the view. We can not ski but we would like to watch people ski. The lodge is huge. We ate in the restaurant section during the fall festival. We had never been there But the views are great. Cant wait to see it all covered in snow.

Been going there for years ....if you want to escape the crowds, have over 1,000 ft of vertical and ambiance that is a little bit of Vermont - look no farther.... I used to Heli-board in Whistler, BC years ago - and i still love this mountain ! The ski shop & food area / bar is quite nice ....very... More

Let me start by saying I learned to ski at Elk Mt. And having done that, I can ski almost anywhere. This local mountain claims the longest vertical in PA (1,000') which isn't much by Western standards. But throw in there moguls, hard pack, icy conditions, and sometimes crowds, I feel that it gives you a total experience. They have... More

Elk mountain has held the title of the best skiing in Pennsylvania for years and it isn't in trouble of losing that title any time soon. Besides having the best skiing around, it has a nice restaurant and bar. The area has some great apres ski too.

Elk is a great ski resort to escape to for a day trip. There is usually a fairly decent and diverse terrain for all skiers from moguls (typical small east coast resort moguls) to bomber runs to beginner slopes. I especially like going there on holidays to escape the crowded NY resorts that get overcrowded. The lifts are slow and... More

Elk is by far the best ski resort in PA. They always seem to have the most/best snow. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Lift tickets prices are fair. While it can get crowded on the weekend it is never as crowded as the other resorts in PA. The mountain its self is not bad for its geographic location. Lots... More
