We hiked for a couple of hours with a group that included kids as young as 6 and a few seasoned citizens. The trails are well maintained, there is never a need to do much climbing (unless you want to), and you'll find restrooms (of the portable variety) at the trail head (at least we did).

My husband and I enjoy hiking and there are trails around the lake with stop picnic tables at stop off points to enjoy lunch. There is also a place to rent canoes and paddle boats on the lake and a camp ground for camping.

This is a great place to swim and camp. Easy to access, ample parking, clean water. I don't live too far away so I go there often. Nice beach and swimming area for kids.

We took the trail that went all around the lake. It was great weather, shady, with a small breeze. The trail is open and easy to walk, and is nice if you are in the mood for a not-too-taxing afternoon stroll.

The area was very scenic and expansive so You can hike around. If you like wildlife, there is plenty of that. Keep a eye out for porcupines. I never knew they were native to the poconos. Really, I liked everything about the park.

Clean campground with some very nice campsites, and some not so well suited to tent camping. Our first site was set up with most of it being large-ish sharp-edged stones. Not very good for tent camping, but fine for camper/RV, I'm sure. We moved to a different site that was quite spacious and grassy - much better. The lake was... More

Tobyhanna State Park is sure to bring adventure to your day. We have gone fishing on the fishing pier with our two children, we have walked the trails, picked berries (during picking season), swam in the beach, picnicked and had play dates. There's a 5 mile loop that goes around the whole lake. Bring bug spray and plenty of water... More

Exceptionally clean and well maintained facility. I have not camped there but the camping facilities look great. I live nearby and go there very often to fish and hike. Fishing is average, beach is sand and clean, water is clean (usual brackish color from the swamp that feeds the lake but is excellent quality), restrooms/changing facilities are kept very clean...
