We went to Park office and borrowed fishing rods and tackled box for free under the PA fishing loaner program. It works like the library. Bait was $3 for worms at the boat rental office. It was very windy so paddling was too tough, we tried for 15 minutes, got nowhere so attendant gave us our money back. We fished... More

Tobyhanna state park is a wonderful quiet area, the boat rentals are fantastic and fun!!! perfect place for entire family, or just to be alone with your partner. Cost is only based on camping and boat rentals. Very affordable though

They have a very nice Camp Ground and A Great Lake for fishing for Panfish. The have nice BAss and Sunfish and They rent out Row Boats for those that want to fish in middle of Lake. Best Spot is over by the DAm.

We were in the Pocono region for the fall color and were told about this park. We spent several hours walking the trails and enjoying the beautiful colors around the lake. This is a great place to enjoy the outdoors. We were not camping but in driving through the campground it looked to be a good basic campground that was... More

Oddly enough I stayed here twice in 2013, Memorial Day with just my wife, and then on Labor Day my brother and his family joined us. There are services nearby, and though there is a large military base adjacent to the park, the overall feel is quiet and woodsy. The campground is on the far-side of the lake from the... More

We went to the park on one of the hottest days of the year. It was breezy which made the hest tolerable. They have different kinds of boats for rent. We rented a peddle boat. Very affordable. There is a man made beach. Great place, very quiet. We had a great time.

Nice hike around the lake. Flat, well-marked, and beautiful scenery. Very little foot traffic, so plenty of time alone. Most of the activity was focused on the beach; go there if you want noise or stay away if you want quiet.

I loved this place as a child and teen and now as an older adult. Boat rentals, paths to run or bike, lake beach, picnic areas, camping areas for tents and RVs. The park rangers were very friendly letting us know about weekly fishing for kids for free. Everything was free but boat rentals and I think campsites. I enjoyed... More
