I had been on a lot of train rides in many states. We had taken our boy scout troops one time and our granddaughter, she loved it.

Beautiful ride especially in fall. There is a post office on board to mail postcards from train.

Bought 1st class tickets in - what the website says is - a new first class train car. The train car itself was old. Okay, i can live with that. Part of the allure is the age of the train. But the seats were old, too!!! They were not nice, new, plush seats as decribed on the website. They may... More

This roundtrip train ride from the center of Titusville is pleasant. Train travels about 25 mph mostly through Oil Creek state park. View from train is mostly woods and river. Can get off/on to see local attraction, can do a bike trip one way and take the train the other; same deal with a canoe. We rode in the open... More

There was only one slight downside. Each car has a guide in the car that provides information and watches out for safety concerns. Ours was... More

I took my 3 children(11,10,&7) on the train and it was wonderful. They enjoyed the outdoor flat car and snacking in the mail car. They also enjoyed switching the seats back and forth. This is something we would definitely do again!

Upon our arrival on Aug. 7, 2003, we were informed by the gentleman in the ticket booth that the train would not be running due to a landslide that damaged some tracks or ground underneath, but he assurured us that it was promised to be operating again by Saturday.A lot of good that did us, as we had just driven...
