We've been taking advantage of what the Strasburg Railroad has to offer for YEARS, and we usually come, at least yearly. This trip, we came for Thomas and Percy. Thomas is a longer ride than the ride on Percy, but is a shorter ride than riding on the regular trains. We learned, this time, that while, as of now, Percy... More

By Kristen May I took my daughter and one of her friends to the Strasburg Rail Road for Santa’s Paradise Express. The kiddos, both 4-years old, were very excited about riding the train, but even more excited about seeing Santa himself. We boarded the train and waited about 5 minutes before the train whistle blew and we slowly took off.... More

Been years since we have been here. Same as it was so many years ago. Everyone had a great time. Something different to do that was alot of fun. Would go back for sure.

The main reason I wanted to write a review is to let people know that the potbelly stove in the coach cabins does a great job keeping everyone warm. The heat from the stove is vented all over the cabin. I almost spent the extra money on a first class ticket because those are heated, but then I decided to... More

This was a great way to spend an afternoon! My husband and 8 year old loved it. Staff was great and friendly. The place was clean and well priced. I've sent two other families there and was told the same.

We went to a "Day Out with Thomas" with our 23-month old Thomas fan for his pre-birthday celebrations. He had so much fun -- as did we -- seeing full life-sized Thomas and Percy trains, and being able to ride them. With Christmas around the corner, one of the train cars was beautifully decorated with Christmas decor. We got there... More

We had two families, with a total of four adults and four kids ages 3, 4 & 7. We went a few days before Christmas. The kids were AMAZED at the size of real trains, and were incredibly excited to be able to climb up on two of them and talk to some train engineers! They enjoyed looking at all... More

We enjoyed our visit with our 2 year old granddaughter. She wrote a letter to Santa and had a Christmas story read to her. The train ride was the perfect length. It was approximately 45 minutes. Just enough to do while still having time to view a bit of the scenery. My only complaint was that we didn't have enough... More

We went on the Saturday after Christmas because the weather was so mild that day. We were lucky to get tickets for the 3:00 pm train ride, which the conductor said was an added train that day. You could open the windows in the beautifully restored coach which was great given that it was nearly 60 degrees in December. The... More

Santa Train was cute. Santa posed with the kids for photos and handed out small gifts. Carolers and musicians went car to car and performed.
