My mother, sister and I had recently visited the Rail Road. The entire trip was a pleasure. My mother uses a walker to get around and the entire staff couldn't be more helpful than they were. My mother and sister sat on a bench near the ticket window while I waited in line to purchase a ticket when one of... More

Fun 1/2 day activity for the steam engine loving child or adult. We bought a day pass which allowed us unlimited rides on the railroad, and unlimited children's rides at the "station." There were 3 rides: a hand propelled train (which my son loved), a mini steam engine train, and a pump car. Watch the hours of operation, we missed... More

It was a great experience. The kids loved riding on the train and visiting all the shops and learning more about trains.

This is a great place to stop. The whole staff were really kid-orientated making it a magical place for children. The train ride was fun, educational but without losing children with lots of history. The children's activities after the ride were really great. My son begged us to go back the next day.

My husband and I and our 12-year-old daughter loved the Strasburg Rail Road. We rode in first class, which I've never done any form of transportation before, a short ways down the track and were able to order cocktails, a fruit and cheese platter and of course a Whoopie Pie (which thrilled our my daughter) while we listened to the... We love taking friends, family, and the children here. It is always such a joy to hop on and take a ride. They have so many great themes and have made it marketable to anyone with any taste. A must see if you are in Lancaster PA. They also have Thomas the train a few times a year.

Could be the best "train ride" experience we've ever had. Beautifully kept trains. First class car was exceptionally comfy with swivel captains chairs. Nice selection on the menu - made for a great way to rest our feet and snack on some goodies. Overall ride is 45 minutes - you go out and back on the same track. There is... More

We coughed up the extra money and booked our 9 person group of kids and adults in the 1st class Lounge car and it was worth it! Not only did the kids have a little more freedom, but we had an air conditioned car and wait staff to bring us snacks. It was extremely comfortable and a wonderful trip, we... More

We loved riding on the Strasburg Rail Road. We road in the air conditioned lounge car. It was so relaxing. The ride was a nice ride to Paradise, PA and back to the station. We had great views of the countryside. The staff was friendly. They took our drink and snack orders shortly after we boarded and promptly returned with... More

Been going to Lancaster for a long time now and stopped here with my children this time..FUN! Paid for 1st class seating which was 100.00 even for 3 adults and 2 children. One being 16 months and sleeping the whole time. It was not an air conditioned cart but it was a beautiful day. Bought drinks and snacks and had... More
