We did the Murder Mystery Dinner Train and had a nice time. The dinner was good. The salad was at you table when you were seated. My husband and I had the prime rib which was tender and good. Served with a little spicy potatoes and a vegetable dish of carrots, green beans and wax beans. We had the cheese... More

This year my friend Grant, my father and I signed up to take part in the Strasburg Railroad's Hostling Tour which shows everyone how the steam locomotives are prepared for the days' run from Strasburg to Paradise and return. The railroad has been hauling freight with steam and diesel since 1832 so this isn't your ordinary tourist railroad. During our... More

this is a great place for train buffs, and for children. The steam train goes out every 2 hours, with lunch available on closed cars, and a dinner train at 7. we had prime rib - and it was pretty good, considering it was on a train. Service was good as well. The museum is a great place to visit... More

My son is 15 and finally had a chance to take him there. He loved it. The Barron Ticket was a good deal only if you plan to ride the train more than once. Like the lounge car ride and then later took the open air car at 7PM. The behind the scenes tour in the shop was educational and... More

A visit to the Strasburg Rail Road is pure old fashioned family fun. Simple, interesting and amazingly beautiful country views make this an attraction you will want to share with everyone, whether you are a railroad enthusiast or not. The Rail Road museum is well worth the visit. Don't miss the Caboose Motel and Restaurant, but stay away from the... More

I have been going there every year for probably over twenty years now. I used to go before I had children, than I started taking my children, now I am still taking them, but also now taking grandchildren. It is a nice ride where you get to see some of the country side and you get to ride on old... More

The trains are very interesting and there is so much to learn! The kids get a learning experience but also have fun while doing it. I wouldn't mind going back for a second time.

Sure the ride is only 45 minutes long, but for small kids that's more than enough. The trains are beautiful and the talk was fun and informative. The ride also offers great views of the surrounding farm land. It's not the cheapest thing to do, but combined with the Railroad Museum, it's a pretty good value and keeps the kids... More

Don't miss Strasburg Railroad. So much fun, with or without kids. Pay the extra $2 and get the open air seating.
