Great ride - only disappointment was that we did not understand that lunch was not included in the cost of the ticket for the dining car. It cost more for lunch than the ride, and we did not expect this.

While some may complain the train ride is short, it does give you some idea of how our forefathers moved about the country. Plus they are all Baldwin locomotives ( built in Philadelphia PA ) The museum across the street is the real star. Just about every kind of locomotive is on display there and children of all ages will... More

Choo's! That was all my two year old wanted to see. We arrived at the station and were immeadatly bought tickets. We climbed up into the amazing looking refurbished open air car. The train ride through country side of farms was beautiful. It was about 40-45 minute ride. On the return trip as passed the engine shed, THOMAS was just... More

However, the restored train cars and engines make this a worthwhile attraction. If you have children, get off the train and there is is really great activity park. I would give 4 stars to this attraction if that is your plan.

We rode the train and had a tour of Amish country. Lunch was great . . good food! Lots to do for the kids to experience. Just an all around fun day with a lot of nice people who work there. There are also shops, although they are a little pricey. But the trip was great! Would definitely do again... More

The 45 train ride through the Amish countryside is wonderful. We did the open air car, which was perfect for the 80 degree sunny day we visited the railroad. Wish we would have known about the shaded picnic area/playground the train stops at mid-way that you can stop at and stay until the next train comes along. Several families brought... More

Fantastic place right in the middle of Amish country. We rode the train on three different days during our stay. We also did the shop tour and the Hostling tour new this year. It was fantastic! Climbed aboard a running engine 90 while we listened to our tour guide Dave. He was great at answering all our questions. Cannot recommend... More

My mother, sister and I had recently visited the Rail Road. The entire trip was a pleasure. My mother uses a walker to get around and the entire staff couldn't be more helpful than they were. My mother and sister sat on a bench near the ticket window while I waited in line to purchase a ticket when one of... More

Fun 1/2 day activity for the steam engine loving child or adult. We bought a day pass which allowed us unlimited rides on the railroad, and unlimited children's rides at the "station." There were 3 rides: a hand propelled train (which my son loved), a mini steam engine train, and a pump car. Watch the hours of operation, we missed... More
