I took my two boys aged 10 and 5 along with my sister and her son who is 13 to the railroad today. It was a great trip. We stopped at Dienner's Country Restaurant on the way to the station for lunch which was laid back and the food very comforting. Then we headed to the station. The price was... More

How can you not like riding behind a steam locomotive in a passenger rail car that's more than a century old? The narration by the conductor during the ride and the chance to see the locomotive go by as it changes direction adds to it. If you go in the summer time, you can ride in one of their open... More

The train and the train cars were beautiful. We did the Easter Bunny train. The ride was kind of boring. 15min ride then stopped train to switch ends which took 10min. Then 15min back past the same scenery. My kids 6 and 7 were bored. If you really love trains this might be more fun. Wasn't worth the 80+ dollars... More

Ryan S., Thank you for taking the time to share your experience. We are sorry that you did not enjoy it more. The Easter Bunny Train ticket includes the 45-minute ride to Paradise, PA and back, as well as activities back at the station, including the miniature steam train and the cranky car track. This added value - combined with... More

Not worth the trip. 200 dollar train ride that goes in one direction and then reverses. All while smelling propane and eating 15 dollar steak ums.

A nice 45 minute train ride through the back of some Amish farms. The gentlemen who run the service are very nice and make it an enjoyable trip.

Brought our three grandsons, 22 month old twins and a 9 year old, to spend the day in Strasburg. One of the activities we planned was a ride on the Strasburg Railroad. We had purchased tickets in advance for the 2:00 train. We arrived early so had time to walk around and do some of the other activities. The train... More

The shops are nice and have a lot of curios. We had a nice lunch on the dining car and I had a Philly cheesesteak hoagie, chips, coleslaw and carafes of sweet tea or lemonade... Very tasty for $14.99... Just enough for me. Saw some Amish farms and several Amish waved as the train past. Nice 45 minute ride and... More

You can do the basic train ride tour of Amish country or look on their website for one of their events. Strasburg Rail Road has anything from Steampunk to WWII to Thomas the Tank Engine days.

We were treated to a Lounge Car- ordered a Cheese and Fruit Platter and a beverage, sat in beautiful and comfortable chairs and just enjoyed the countryside. When we were there the Snow was deep and there were Photographers Everywhere trying to capture the winter beauty. We will go back again- they have a stopping point where you can get... More

There are trains to watch go by all day, the lounge car I purchased tickets for ahead of time was SO pretty and comfortable, with big swiveling armchairs. The kids "fun stuff" wasn't open, it was such a windy day and sort of cold. But we ate at the Trackside Cafe, which is kind of like a Bill Gray's, so... More
