We visited in the middle of spring, just before schools let out too much. There wasn't a whole lot of people, and it was about perfect! Our 22 month boy really enjoyed the train ride, but he also loved the 'cranky cars' that they have set up for children. We made one trip on the large train, then also went... More

We were married on the train! It was great! All of our guests loved it. The train stopped in Paradise township and the wedding ceremony was performed. It was like a dream come true. We love trains and always wanted to get married on one. Steve, the stationmaster, was very helpful in all of the planning.

Travel back through time and take a ride on a fully operational turn of the century passenger railroad. Relax as you travel through beautiful Lancaster County farmland, many of which are Amish farms. Unwind and experience the calm of a simpler time, when the main focus of travel was not just speed. You'll see first hand how wonderful it can... More

We rode in the luxury coach with swivel chairs. The narration and scenery was great. Comparably priced (20/person). We had 8 in our party and each enjoyed it.

a fun ride through beautiful countryside. there's nothing like old time train travel! we usually sit in the open air cars which is delightful, this time we chose to sit inside and have beverages and snacks in luxurious comfort. a pleasure!

Board the train for the 45 minute ride to Paradise, stop along the way for a picnic and catch the next train back. Hear the ghost whistle of a long ago train. Clean, great informational narration Lots of choices such as Easter Bunny ride, Great Train Robbery Day out With Thomas, Christmas train and more. Lots of fun and a... More

We went on a weekday in May and I guess they only do the extras on weekends then. But we did take a ride in the open air car and it was very nice. My 4 year old loved all the steam train stuff. The announcer gives interesting info on the ride and the trains are lovely. It was a... More

We have been to the railroad many times including Day Out With Thomas. For most little ones, they will be excited to go on the train whether it looks like Thomas or not. The Day Out With Thomas days are very crowded, but worth it.

Taking a trip on a vintage train was so fun. We sat in the open air car and fully enjoyed the scenery of Lancaster County. Took in the tour of the shop and was amazed on what goes into repairing a train car. This event is excellent for all ages.
