Really nice building full of great trains and other artifacts. Engaged, friendly staff that tell stories. You can walk into the trains on exhibit

This is a jaunt to the countryside that will cause you to pause for the old way of life. Right next to Lancaster, there are plenty of Amish farms and people to see on their horse buggies and scooters as you drive to the train station. Completely photo worthy inside and outside the train. The kids love it and on... More

We go to the Stasburg Railroad multiple times a year for over ten years and always enjoy it. If you have time take advantage of the all day pass and upgrade to all the different types of train cars to really experience train travel ( alas only over nine miles each way). The dining car is a great way to... More

This place has it all together! There are lots for kids and families to do even before you board the train. We arrived on a cold April day so there wasn't much happening outside. The shops are full of lots of interesting train-related items. The train was awesome, the engine and cars have all been meticulously restored to their original... More

This 45 minute train ride through countryside and farmland was really beautiful. The steam engine was awesome and the staff were super kind.

perhaps it was because I had a coach seat, not 1st class? this very short ride left me feeling short changed. it was about 20 min. one way then wait for the other steam engine to hook us up to go straight back to where we came from and I mean straight. no curves, mounds or mountains. they say they... My family loved the train ride. We sprung for the 1st class tickets and were not disappointed. The ride was narrated both ways with interesting facts. Snacks and drinks are available on the car and service is good. My two young ones (ages 5 and 8) really enjoyed themselves.

Definitely worth the time and money. To travel on a steam engine train is something you don't get to do everyday. The kids loved it. The train ride is only about 45 mins, a straight shot back and forth and the country side is beautiful. A couple of places you could disembark and have a picnic lunch that you could... More
