I have done this ride a couple times in the past, but this was the first time my family has gone. We had a fantastic time! Such a nice ride. We spent some time in one of the shops and grabbed just a couple things. This is great for anyone who loves trains or just wants to take a nice... More

My son loves Thomas and Friends, and in September they brought in Thomas and Percy for the week. It was a great opportunity for my son to put his love of trains and Thomas. The also had a Sir Toppam Hat, that he liked. The only thing I would change is that while you are riding the train pulled by... More

Take a ride back into history aboard the Strasburg Railroad. Hear the sounds and smell the smells of a bygone era of travel in America. The Strasburg Railroad with its restored Steam engines and railroad cars gives you the feel of what it was like to travel by rail in early America before the coming of cars and airplanes. After... We took our 2 1/2 year old grandson to Strasburg Railroad to ride both Thomas and Percy. All children over age 2 years old paid the same price as adults - a bit steep for us. As you'd imagine, our grandson was so excited when he saw both trains. We rode Percy first, a 10 minute ride up and back... More

Strasburg Rail Road had a great collection of RR engines & cars. Enjoyed the coal fired steam train ride. Hope they always stay true to the historical coal fired steam engine!

Well run establishment. Very clean with helpful staff. Really enjoyed the shop tour which provided great background on all the work that goes into keeping these historic locomotives and train cars in good, working condition. Don't miss it if you're in the area.

We really didn't know what to expect, but we like riding on trains so we figured what the heck. We booked tickets in the First Class Parlor car. The train was not very crowded and we took the rearmnost seats in the car. It turned out great. We ordered some beer, wine and a cheese and fruit tray and really... More

We had tickets for the 1 pm train. It was a rainy day, so what better way to spend an hour than on a fun train ride. We sat in the Lounge car which had swivel chairs that were so comfy. A server offered snacks and beverages-alcoholic as well as non-alcoholic. It was a fun ride hearing the narration while... More

Four operational steam locomotives, large fleet of authentic wooden passenger cars, beautiful ride, phenomenal shop force, lots to do. What else could you ask for?
