We stopped in the museum and got our tickets and the agent told us about the train ride that you could also take (additional charge). We did buy that option. We toured the museum for a bit. It was interesting to see all the old trains. You could go into a few of them. It would be nice to be... More

Took my 7 1/2 year old son here last weekend. Third time we've been here & he loves it! It's 15 minutes from our house. Had a snack at the station while waiting for the train. Went on the 45 minute train ride. Such a nice ride! It's not too expensive, about $14 for adults & $8 for children to... More

We booked the wine and cheese car for Saturday night, it was our anniversary and we wanted to do something different. The train is absolutely gorgeous, with original glass work and hand worked wood finish...we had a forty five minute train ride through Amish farmland, while trying four different wine varieties and sampling cheese and fruit. The servers were amazing,... More

My first trip to Strasburg Rail Road was 22 years ago on a trip with my Grandparents. I've had the opportunity to go time and again, most recently my wife and I were able to enjoy a trip for the first time with our son. This is fun for all ages. The landscape is well maintained and the sights are... More

We finally did a day out with thomas the tank engine- it was expensive considering we only rode the train itself for 15 minutes, but there are many other activities to check out included with the price of ticket- the place gets way over packed so i think getting the first or last ride of the day is your best... We took our two grandsons - age 3 and a half and one and a half - to the Day out with Thomas celebration at the Strasburg Railroad. We have seen Thomas in other locations. However, this one - Thomas the Tank Engine actually was huffing and puffing and really pulling the 7 passengers cars!!!! And Percy was there as... More

This is overall a great stop for people of all ages. The ride is not too long for the little ones. Yet there is plenty to keep then occupied. If you want to see more of what a railroad does take a shop tour.

Loved the ride although when the train stopped to reverse, there was an unsightly amount of tiles and such on the hillside outside of our window. The ride itself and the conductors were very nice.

We loved the train ride through the country side. It was a nice breezy day. You are able to see Amish houses and the Amish in their yards. This is a short relaxing 40 minute ride. Very enjoyable.
