Took the kids to Strasburg Railroad for Day Out with Thomas. The kids had a good time despite it being quite cold. We purchased the Thomas and Percy train rides but honestly the Thomas would have been enough. I have a 3 yr old train enthusiast and he was satisfied with just one train ride but we took both because... More

If you are a fan of motorized railcars, visit the Strasburg Rail Road on specific days in March or November (check the schedule) to ride on #10 - a 1915 vintage railcar that originally ran on the narrowgauge Lancaster, Oxford & Southern RR. It's diminutive size is due to its origins on a 3' gauge line. The car has been... More

We rode on the motorized, 20 minute train that operates during the off-season. It was a nice experience for only $7. The shops and dining area are well-themed, it was a nice stop.

We went on the murder mystery dinner ride. It was a great time the only complaint I have is that the actual train ride was not long enough. We spent time sitting at the station than actually on the ride.

Such a great attraction that a visit to PA is not complete without a trip on the Strasburg Railroad. Try to use a different car on each trip. We haven't used the picnic grove yet, but will soon.

We have been visiting the Strasburg Rail Road since our daughter was three years old. She is now 40 with a five-year-old son of her own. We went on the Christmas train ride every year. And now with our grandson we have started the same tradition. We all go several times a year and we are still amazed at the... More

This was our second time on the Strasburg Railroad. We really enjoyed the ride and the conductors are so personable and sweet. Everything runs smoothly and you don't have to wait for several trains even on a fairly crowded day. We did not go to the museum this time as we spent a lot of time there last year. This... More

It was the perfect day to ride the Strasburg Railroad, however there was not much to see during the excursion. We could not hear the voice giving details about historical facts and to go up the rails and back was not worth the cost of the ride.

Attended a murder-mystery dinner event on Halloween. I thought the murder-mystery show was just OK. It was my first time attending something like this but would have liked it better if the setting was different (like in a restaurant or somewhere that had a different shaped space). I had the chicken marsala for dinner. It wasn't that great but the... More

Not much to say. Nice train ride along a couple mile track. Ride goes by a couple of farms and a kiddie park and picnic area. Once train reaches end of track the engine uncouples and goes to the back of the train and couples up for the trip back.
