We took my 2 year old grandsons on the train. They LOVED it! They were too young to do a lot of the other things, like the cranky cars, but enjoyed the playground. I recommend getting the package with the railway museum which is directly across the street.

Every time we go, we have a good time! Last time we went (07/04/2015). My oldest daughter is a big train fan (same with me) She loves it!

Got to see beautiful farmland especially driving there. Passed numerous horses and buggies. Love the area but could not live that way.

There was so much to look at! The museum was fantastic and had lots of trains to look at. There were a few that you could even climb into to check them out. It was a very educational place to visit. I am not a big train person, but I found this to be enjoyable. There was even a room... More

We spent our money for the president car... It was AWESOME! The fruit cups they served (2:00$ per cup, good price,) were great! Awesome views too! Loved the service!

We spent 5 hours - could have spent more time but had other plans! The railroad trip was very nice and comfortable. Then the kids played at the cranky cars, the playyard, and then went over to the museum - which was SPECTACULAR- I have never been and was completely amazed! So much to look at and see - even... Our visit on this trip was to take our grand daughter and family on the Day Out With Thomas adventure. We have been to Strasburg Rail Road before, and have visited the museum and gone on train rides. What you read about the Strasburg Rail Road in general may not be true of the Day Out With Thomas event. When... More

We did the railroad in combination with a scooter tour from Strasbourg scooters. We had tickets to the first class car with wine and cheese "Samples". Wish it was a bit longer, but overall a fantastic time. Great staff on the train, wine was definitely drinkable...but nothing to write home about.

It feels like you stepped back in time. We've been coming here for decades. We've done it all, the dinning car the open air ride, the museum and Thomas the tank engine. It's just so nice to come up close to a real steam engine train. There is a small palayground on site and and snack sold while you wait... More

On the spur of the moment we decided to take the kids...5 and 2 to see the trains. By 11 a.m. The place was already very busy. They begin selling tickets for the first hourly train at 10 a.m. We ended up getting tickets for the 1 p.m. Open air train...which I highly recommend for the kiddos. It is a... More
