While there is a lot to do on the campus, there is not much to do otherwise. The campus and town is surrounded by... More

This a lovely town. Neat, manicured & civilized in the lush green rolling hills of central PA.. It helps a great deal too if your a Penn State fan, but it's not required! Nice people - we loved it.

Penn State's University Park campus is a large sprawling campus with many places to go and things to do. There are venues for plays, concerts and performances, art museums, numerous libraries, places to eat, a skating rink, a natatorium, an arboretum, and much more. It plays host to the Central PA Festival of the Arts every July and puts on... More

I recently took my daughter to a trip back to Penn State. I'm an alumni and so proud of the university and the area. There are so many places to eat and the campus is beautiful. Nothing like walking up and down College Avenue. Great shopping and atmosphere. Make sure to stop at the Student Bookstore and Family Clothesline for... More

Quaint stores and restaurants, excellent night life, and all of the tradition of a university that has brought life to Pennsylvania since 1855.

Went for Maryland vs Penn state game. Great atmosphere for a college football. Very much a college town but not my cup of tea. Too isolated. If you want to experience a pro size stadium but a college atmosphere

A great college experience for student and just as much fun for their friends and family . We were on an equally wonderful campus in our youth so appreciated... More

One of the most beautiful campuses in the country. Have lived in State College area for over 30 years. A great place to raise a family. Not only do you have one of the premier universities in the world but you also have a great local school district.

Husband's old stomping grounds. Lovely campus but he tells me it has changed a whole lot since his time there. Not surprising! One thing still the same.....the Creamery (agricultural school operation) still makes amazing ice cream!
