We are locals and visit here often. They have great pretzels and root beer. My kids love feeding the animals. Tip: don't waste your money on the food dispenser by the animals. Go into the store and ask for day old bread. They will sell it for $1.00 and you get a lot more to feed the animals. They don't... More

Great place!!! Purchased some Amish made butter, cheese and baked goods. The pretzel stand was closed, so we didn’t have the chance to try them. We will definitely be back.

My husband and I stopped there during our bus tour. We had homemade root beer and pretzels that were terrific. My fourth time in Lancaster and first time at Country Side Road Stand.

If you are in the area, you must stop here. Besides the fun shopping and homemade items to buy, they sell delicious pretzels and ice cream! You can also get a cup of homemade rootbeer for 25 cents!

We stop here just for the pretzels. They are similar to Auntie Anne's style(if you have had these) but they are somehow less greasy and not "browned" on the bottom like Auntie Anne's. They also have a nice area for viewing turkeys, chickens and goats and a gift shop if you are interested. We go for the pretzels, none of... More

The soft pretzels were different than the "Bavarian Pretzel" type I've had before. They were more puffy and greasy - more like a pastry than a bread. The store had Amish touristy stuff like quilted placemats. It has a clean bathroom with a box on the toilet to leave tips.

As others have mentioned, this is a really quaint, authentic place that is more than just a simple road stand. We stopped as part of a tour and had the best soft pretzel's we've ever had that we washed down with some terrific homemade root beer and lemonade! We even bought some pretzel mix for home from some really wonderful... More

This place is wonderful! First, you can taste the homemade root beer for a quarter (honor system) outside on the porch. Inside, there are many Amish crafts for sale. They also have many breads, pies, cookies and other baked goods to choose from. I found their prices on the baked goods to be the most reasonable, compared to other bake... More

This little gem on a country road in Lancaster is delightful!! There are so many beautiful handmade crafts to choose from. I got my "Small World" clock there and payed less than any other place that I had priced it. They also have canned items and homemade snacks such as hand rolled pretzels and lemonade. Don't miss it!!!!

We've shopped here for over 10 years - on every trip to the Lancaster area. Homemade baked goods, canned items, homemade potato chips, and homemade root beer, along with Amish hand-crafted items. We've bought everything from food items to a hand-made wooden rocking horse, to beautiful little bird houses. Good place to stop.
