Best dinner rolls; great prices, selection, & homemade root beer

I see why people say this is the #1 shopping in the county. We didn’t see better prices anywhere else and loved that you can buy homemade root beer for a quarter a cup. We loved... read more

I see why people say this is the #1 shopping in the county. We didn’t see better prices anywhere else and loved that you can buy homemade root beer for a quarter a cup. We loved the wide selection of homemade souvenirs—many of them very practical. They also have a lot of great paintings. (Well, I’d be very happy to... More

They're incredible..soft & dipped in butter..lusciously delicious! The best in Lancaster. They also have ice cream, which I didn't try, but looked tasty..I had a coffee milk shake, was thick, creamy & of course delicious!

Quilt hunting in Amish country lead us to this place . It has typical tourist trap fare. There was a bus load of Asian tourists there the same time we were. A young lady and I looked a the price tag at quilt at the same time. There was no need for a translator for the looks on both our... More

It was interesting walking round this place and they do have some lovely and tasty food. Everything is well presented and obviously fresh. However, we did feel that the prices were slightly steep. Worth a visit if not too much out of your way.

My wife & I always make it a point to stop in the Road Stand when we are here in Lancaster. It is a beautiful, quaint shop, run by the Amish. It is located right in the heart of Amish farmland, not far off of rt. 340. There are crafts, hand made Amish items, homemade root beer & fresh pretzels... More

This Amish owned store has grown over the years but still is a great place to visit, shop and eat some of the best soft pretzels in the County! They offer many crafts, gifts, canned goods and baked items. Their homemade root beer is delicious. The prices on outdoor birdfeeders can't be beat. The owner just built a new home... More

My mother, SIL, and I were not far from the Lancaster area and I wanted to see "Amish country" before heading home last week. My SIL googled places and this place came up - and all the Yelp reviews talked about the pretzels, so I was, naturally, super excited. It was neat to ride through Amish country and pass by... More

We come here when in Lancaster which is once a year. They have some great soft pretzels, fresh baked goods and canned goods. They also have a nice selection of hand made Amish products from area Amish folks. Worth the visit. I think they are getting a little out of hand with their prices. We always purchased quart sized beets,... More

Find this stand in the middle of acres and acres of corn. You will see Amish families driving by in their horses and carriages, others working the fields and others doing other chores. You can then stop, try these pretzels and a cold lemonade. After you buy your pretzels, stay ther and eat them on the spot. They are warm,... More

I have been going there for a number of years now. I get out that way once or twice a year and on each visit I will stop in at least 2-3 times. It has lost it's quaintness over the years. It is very commercialized and more of a tourist trap now. I used to buy different baked goods, handmade... More
