This has been one of my desires to tour this place for the past 20 years. I finally did it, and I was pleased. As stated on the website and in others comments, this is the oldest brewery in the Americas (1829). It is also the oldest US owned brewery as it is still owned by the original family. Unlike... More

Visited for the first time in early March 2014. This is the best brewery tour I have ever been on. We went on a Wednesday at 10 AM, so it was not crowded at all. The tour was excellent. You feel like you are walking right through history, and they allow you to get up close and personal with the... More

It was really hard to find this places as my GPS took me to the major factory outside town first and then to the old location just a few blocks away. But I found it and somehow actually found a place to park (it is in a neighborhood). The tour is free, but it was craziness. They cram as many... More

Let me begin by saying I don't even like beer and I loved this tour! My husband and I made the pilgrimage to Pottsville as it has been a life long dream of his. I had no idea what to expect on this tour and I was interested the entire time. Our tour guide, Sharon, was energetic, excited and knew... More

We had a great time on our recent tour. We were actually running late and didn't think we would make it but the friendly staff helped us get caught up to larger group. Awesome tour guides were very knowledgeable. Worth the trip!

If you're in Pottsville this tour is a must. If you're going near Pottsville, put the tour of the brewery on your list. The oldest brewery in the country has lots of history including the building in which it's located. The guide was extremely informative with a great personality. The reward, if you will, is the last stop to the... More

What a neat place to visit if you around the Pottsville area! Don't expect a modern brewery with cans and bottles zipping by at breakneck speed, what you will enjoy is more of a history lesson and a walk through time. Don't mistake the gift shop for your typical gift shop either. There are so many historical items and a... More

Our family celebrated my brother in law's 50th birthday at the Yuengling Brewery in Pottsville, PA. We had a great time on the tour and good beginning to his birthday celebration. Our tour guide, Joanne, was excellent. She was very knowledgeable and entertaining. I have been on many brewery tours and this was one of my favorite tours. The tour... More

This was our second trip to the brewery in Pottsville. We were still amazed by the city, since its hidden in the mountains. The brewery is on a mountain side, with cobblestone sidewalks and a cool setting with the old building. Pretty cool free tour takes you underground into original hand dug caves and free sample at the end of... More
