We stopped by during a self-guided walking tour on a bright Saturday morning in August. We had PPG Place to ourselves, so we took lots of photographs. It is well worth stopping by while out and about in downtown. It is a very lovely building.

Kudos to the person(s) who designed this building, as it is very impressive, especially with all of the spires. There is a center courtyard that has a fountain and also a skating rink during the winter. Everyone there talks about the winter displays, so maybe the best time to see it is to come around Christmas.

Visit this area in the winter for Ice skating and the Winter Garden displays. It is beautiful! Gingerbread houses and model trains everywhere.

The buildings are cool but besides being near market square, not much else to do around here. No parking

Found ourselves downtown after a school event and decided to try the rink for something different. While the kids had been ice skating many times before and didn't seem all that impressed as anything different at the time, months later, when. we took other friends through the city, they eagerly recounted their experience as something memorable. They explained to their... More

Visited on Christmas and saw the trains and Christmas Around the World displays, as well as the tree and skating in the plaza. The buildings are striking and there are often neat displays or presentations going on. Also Starbucks nearby and a number of places to eat.

Visitors are drawn to the Glass Castle. A stunning building that seem to sprawl across half a block. The fountain area is currently under construction and seems to detract from the overall appearance of this eye-catching building. The fountain, not the construction, is the eyesore. Ugly!

This building is very interesting (and shiny), and the surrounding area of downtown is nice, too. There are lots of restaurants nearby, and an ice rink in the winter.

For me, it had been over 30 years since I last ice skated and for my daughter, it was her first time ever. We skated six times, this year, at this rink and loved every minute of it. Sure, it had its moments of waiting in line during the holidays and cramped rental quarters, but my daughter and I made... More
