Loved the PPG tree and ice rink! Was a great stop in our holiday trip. Next year we hope to see the exhibits inside as well!

Since moving to the Pittsburgh area I have always wanted to skate at the PPG rink. Today was the day. We took our two young kids downtown, there are a few parking lots within a blocks walk to the rink and also some on street, pay parking close by. If you are driving a truck and cannot find on street... More

If you are in Pittsburgh for the holidays, you must visit the ppg ice rink and winter garden. The tents at market square are a block away. The view is one of a kind.

We went ice skating at PPG Place last Sat. the weather was perfect, the girls aged 11 had a great time, it was $10 each including skate rental. You can leave and return as many times as you want throughout the day as long as you keep your wrist band on. You have to return the skates to get your... More

Visited on a Sunday. Gorgeous scenery. The buildings are just breathtaking! Great for photos. Something about ice skating outside around the Christmas tree makes it magical! Pros: lots to see & do. Gingerbread display & santa exhibit free.verity of places to eat. Cons: ice skates are a bit worn so wear thick socks! We will go back & would recommend... More

What a wonderful tradition to make during the holidays. Ice skating at PPG place is a special activity, and a lovely Pittsburgh treat. Surrounded by the beautiful, castle-like architecture of PPG Place, you skate in circles around the giant Christmas tree. This rink gets crowded on weekends during December, so expect to wait in line during peak times. The rink... More

Had a great time skating and viewing the Gingerbread houses. The line was long but went smoothly. Waited about 35 mins to pay and skate rental. Size of line never changed throughout the day. All the employees were friendly and helpful.

It's all about the architecture. And what they've done is amazing. If you're already in Pittsburgh and if you like modern architecture, you should go!

This is a beautiful building and architecture lovers will enjoy grabbing a coffee or sandwich and sitting in the square. It is bustling with people in the city during the week but on the weekend it can look abandoned-but great for photos!

Walking through downtown Pittsburgh, we came upon the wonder that is PPG Place -- six buildings of similar design but various sizes. Apparently, crews were getting an ice rink ready, right in the center of the buildings. It's a bit hard to describe them -- steel and glass wonders that sort of resemble giant castles. I got the impression that... More
