The view of the city is just breath taking. Miss it at your cost. A simple place offering a lovely view. Highly recommended.

Get a bird's eye view of the 'Burgh and enjoy walking along Grand View Drive--it's really grand! there's a place to get ice cream, go up and down one of the inclines, take pictures at the scenic overlooks.

We rode the Duquesne incline up Mount Washington and spent a very enjoyable few hours walking around Mount Washington. It's such a gorgeous place to visit! Excellent views of downtown Pittsburgh and beyond. SO many pretty bridges, beautiful buildings and of course the rivers flowing past. This is a perfect place for a photo of your trip! We walked around... More

Near Entrance A of Station Square is the Duquesne Incline. Travel up one of those pullie box cars to the top of Mount Washington and take in the view of Pittsburgh. You can see all the bridges, Heinz Field, and all the high rises that fill up the Pittsburgh skyline. $5.00 roundtrip as of this post. Worth the trip/price. Highly... More

We found it eventually - but recommend plugging in the Carnegie Library in GPS (Carnegie Library of Pittsburgh - Mt. Washington - 315 Grandview Avenue - Pittsburgh, PA 15211) as destination - Garmin kept sending us to a dot on Mt. Washington that was not "the" view. With that destination- you'll find the proper overlook.

Mount Washington has so many very good places to eat. The view is hard to describe but the best view of the city by far. If you get the chance to go up to Mt Washington at night the city looks amazing all lit up.
