To appreciate Pittsburgh, one should view it from Mt. Washington, seeing the Allegheny and Monongahela rivers converge to form the Ohio. You see the buildings downtown (PPG, USSteel), PNC Park, Heinz Field, and the bridges crossing the rivers.

Lots of nice bars, and restaurants up there. Spend the $3,50 and take the Incline up. It's $2.50 one way but you can save a dollar and a half by buying a transfer. Beautiful view of the city, and even more so at night. We were there in the winter time so we didn't linger outside too long. We plan... More

Mount Washington in Pittsburgh PA is a definite stop when you're traveling there. Take the old historic trolley train up up 45 degree angle and finish up top of Mount Washington for a spectacular breathtaking view of the city of Pittsburgh. Very cheap the ride around $3 a person.

The incline was a little nerve wracking and buying tickets was a little confusing but it's well worth the 5 dollars round trip.

A few cute places to walk around to. Some of the houses are beautiful to just walk by. Beautiful view of Pittsburgh day and night. The tram up the mountain side is "cool" for the kids to experience too

The perfect spot to see the cityscape including the Point (and its fountain) where the "Three Rivers" are formed.

Great view of the city. Be sure to make sure you have exact change for trolley cars going up and down mountain. Restaurants at bottom of landmark was a nice touch

Rode the Duquesne incline up. The ride is quaint. There's a museum at the top and a gift shop. The view is amazing. Took some panoramic pics. Go at night for the beautiful skyline view.
