Do not try the road trip if you are scared of heights! The 7 mile climb is on a narrow road single track in each direction. Having said that the experience is worth the effort. The views at the top are either 60 miles of beautiful views or total cloud cover. Unfortunately the latter applied in our case combined with... More

We rode the railcar up the mountain to overlook of the city called Mount Washington. The railcar tickets up the mountain for adults were $3.50 and kids were $2.50 for the round trip. The ride up and down was pretty cool too! Sit in the first set of seats on the car if you can. You can't see anything from... More

It was very nice to walk around the neighborhood. Interesting houses, restaurants and bars. The view of the river and the city is amazing.

Up on the Monongehela incline ($3.50 each round trip) from Station Square (pay to park), at dusk and spent a pleasant hour walking to St. Mary on the Mount Church. Food etc avilable down side streets, though we simply drank in the views.

Great place to watch the sunset and overlook the beautiful city of Pittsburgh. Take your time and prepare your camera because you will want to take many photographs from there. You can also enjoy dinner or drink on one of the many options up there.

Very cool to travel up the Incline to the shops. A bit hilly walking on the top. Had lunch at an OK restaurant.

I believe that Mount Washington is the number one attraction in Pittsburgh. Take the duquesne incline and get down through Monongahela, it will take u 2-3 hrs, pass through Station square for a quick bite..:)

I visited Mount Washington by car at night. You can also get there via the Duquesne or Monongahela Inclines, cog railways that climb the mountain. From the top, along a fair distance, is a view of the city including the three rivers that help define Pittsburgh. If you do drive there is parking along the road across the top.

I really enjoyed my whole stay in Philly and Mt. Washington is definitely a must-see for anyone. I'd recommend going a little bit before the sunset so you get to see the views during day and night life.

We have been to this location several times, but never at night until this time. The view of the city from the observation area at night is a beautiful must see! Several pricey restaurants on Mount Washington take advantage of the view, but the observation area next to the Duquesne incline is free and fun.
