haven't been here in 30? years and now i brought my family. We had a great time riding the water slides and hanging out in the lazy river which is nice and long like lazy rivers should be. Food prices are pretty steep--recommend bringing your own snacks and drinks like we did. Get there at opening to avoid lines or... More

My husband and I took our 3 kids here on, Friday, July 11th. The park the entire day wasn't overly crowded, which was nice! Getting there once you arrive into the town of "Homestead" is hard! Sandcastle needs clearer signs on how to get INTO the parking lot. Admission is totally overpriced for the park size. We rented a medium... More

Jill, Thank you for your review. I want to take a few minutes and address some of your concerns. I have passed your comments on to our food and beverage managers. We do have sprinklers located along the boardwalk and strongly suggest footwear to be worn as well. Sandcastle works to keep admission prices affordable and has many options located... More

They are there for your safety. My daughter got kicked in the face and the lifeguard (I don't know her name but she had beautiful tattoos and was very professional) and immediately she provided care comparable to a nurse; asking if she had hit her head or felt dizzy or needed water, and held her head and actually knew how... We went to Sandcastle today for the first time in years. The service we received was the absolute worst I ever had. We went to purchase a drink and were told they were out of cups at that location. What?!! (Having one of the people standing around doing nothing go get more would have been a great solution to that... More

Hi Jenny, Thank you for your review. If you have the Ride and Slide season pass, the souvenir cup does come with the pass. We ran out of cups for a few days, but took down any names of guests who did not receive them during that time so that we could get them the cup as soon as they... More

Sandcastle is a nice park located on the restored waterfront of Pittsburgh. What was once steel mills and industry of all sorts is now a pleasant water park with rides and slides for all ages and abilities. There are a lot of larger slides, which the teens seem to love, but my favorite parts of the park are all on... More

The wave pool ropes have been moved about 20 feet away from the deep end and into the shallow end thereby making the wave pool almost a baby pool... barely suitable for anyone over 12 years old. We were told today that this is a permanent change due to lack of lifeguards. HIRE MORE LIFEGUARDS AND PUT THE ROPES BACK.... More

My family have been season pass holders since 2007. Especially over the last two years we've noticed a decline in the environment at Sandcastle. Lifeguards are unfriendly, the food choices are extremely limited, the park is crowded and rather rowdy. It seems they may be trying to maintain the low cost of season passes by selling more volume, and this... More

For all ages. Slides are spectacular. The wave pool was crowded but good. Food is expensive so I would recommend packing a picnic.

I stood in line for 45 minutes with one line open to buy my season pass. The poor kid was his first day . You never put an inexperience person on that kind of line. Then the quest relations had 2-3 people working there but could not go there. After paying for my tickets I had to get into the... More

Dear Terri , Thank you for your review. We apologize for the wait times you had experienced on your first visit to Sandcastle, but unfortunately it is typical at the beginning of the season. We have been proactive to work to alleviate some of the wait times including selling season passes online. This gives guests the option to bypass the... More

My daughter was finally tall enough to go on the water slides (42 inches). We had a good time but was a bit over crowded.
