Visually this was a very nice museum with a lot of interesting activities and displays. And because it's huge, with multiple levels, it's hard to see how a kid could get bored or not love something(s) there. But it's very easy to see how a parent who is paying just a smidge of attention to his/her kids could get maniacally... More

The museum has so much for the kids to do! It is an all day trip to do all the activities. For those who love Mr. Rogers, his sweater, shoes, trolley and the original puppets from the show are on display. The gift shop has a good selection of educational toys and kids size clothing with the museum logo.

We are huge fans of Children`s Museums and the one in Pittsburgh tops as far as the the water play area goes.It was a little confusing with the parking situation but we figured it out.

Took our 2 grandchildren ages 7 & 8. They couldn't stop talking about it all the way back to Ohio. So many hands-on activities & the staff is so eager to help. I can't stop raving about this awesome experience for kids. So many things to do, ample parking on a Thurs. Ate in their restaurant & felt prices ok... More

We always enjoy the Children's Museum. Our girls love all of the hands on activities, especially the crafts and painting room. This is the best museum for ages 10 and under.

We have been members for 2 years. Over the last 6 months, the experience has gone downhill dramatically. Tried to take my son recently (8/9/2014) but lot was 100% full at 10:05 (they open at 10). So parking is a major problem. Took my son in July and a lot of exhibits were broken. When I say broken exhibits, I... More

Not sure who had more fun, the adults the kids.... We stopped by the museum on a Sunday morning first thing when it opened. Great that it's part of the network of museums that we have membership to. Great hands on exhibits and art activities. Was a little disappointed that the one exhibit on love was nonfunctional but other than... More

We've been to several children's museums over the years. The Pittsburgh museum was one of the better museums. They had a lot more technology than some of the other museums. That helped keep my 10 year old interested. He made a stop action film, played an interactive video game, and electronic art. There are a lot of little areas to... More

This muse is by far the best for all ages who love to learn and explore. It not only is a great place to run and play but challenges my children to think big. After visiting one time we were hooked! Worth the money for the membership and they have lots of extra events for members. We cant wait to... More

Every time we travel to another city for a few days, we like to take the kids to a local children's museum. We've been to Port Discovery in Baltimore (daughters were too young at the time to really enjoy it) and Please Touch in Philly (very crowded with very rude people), but this one was perfect. Admission prices are reasonable,... More
