My kids are 8 and 14 and this was perfect for them. We have visited other children's museums and this has so far been the best. Worth the admission. We spent about three hours there and that seemed about right.

This is a decent children's museum for younger kids. My kids were 12 and 9 which was a little too old for this place. I would recommend it for kids 8 and younger. They have a nice art area where kids can paint and sculpt and get real creative. They also had a number of different interactive attractions enough to... More

We took the grandchildren, age 2 and 4 to the Childrens Museum in Pittsburgh. It was wonderful. We spent hours there. The children played and played. On one floor they have water exhibits, the kids will get wet, so bring extra clothes or a swim suit. The exhibits were very good. Of course, this is Pittsburgh and they are great... More

This is such a great museum. There is so much to do for kids of all ages. There is always a special section that they rotate every few months, so it never gets old. They also have a lot of unique play areas that wear the kids out. My favorite is the Mr. Rogers tribute area. A great value in... More

On our most recent trip to Pittsburgh we took our daughter to the Children's Museum of Pittsburgh and she enjoyed every square inch of it! For a dad it was amazing to watch my toddler paint a picture on one of their easels on main floor. I could tell her wheels were spinning on what color to use next. The... More

We have a membership for the Children's Museum and I can not say enought wonderful things about the staff. Every staff member that we have come in contact with has been super friendly and very helpful. By far Ms. Maria is our favorite, she always remembers who we are and makes it a point to say hello to us when... More

We came to the museum with 4 children ranging in age from 5-2. There we fun, interactive things for each child. The water area is very wet. I suggest a change of clothes and shoes if you plan on spending much time on that floor. The kids favorite part was the ant farm. They crawled through it dozens of times.... More

The kids love the garage and the water room. The cafe always has some healthy, kid friendly food and snacks. The employees are always friendly and approachable. This is a must if you have younger kids and are looking for something to do to get out of the house. During the summer when it's not raining the "backyard" is usually... More

I noticed another lady complaining about the lack of supervision by museum employees as well as parents.I did scold a kid for throwing heavy items in the vicinity of my 2 yr old nephew. The adults with him were chatting to one another and not even paying attention. The bigger boy was being aggressive and rough. Why do the museum workers not say... I took a 3 year old and a 9 year old boys. They had a great time. We spent around 3 hours there, and could have been there longer. Pros: -affordable healthy lunch on site to buy -all things are hands on -age range is wide, even has a "infant/toddle" floor -the water floor has air dryers -bathroom on EVERY... More
