This museum has so much to see and do. Plan to spend at least 4 hours if you want to truly experience all that it has to offer. Parts of the museum are in repurposed historical buildings that are magnificent looking. One is an old US Post office. All I can say is I am so glad that the building... More

My family has lived in the Pittsburgh area for about a year and had visited many attractions but had not visited the Children's Museum. We have a nine year old and we thought it might be a little to young for her and I suspect we were right. Although she enjoyed some of the items in the Museum including the... More

We visited a Friday in April with our 3 1/2 year old son. He loved it - his favourite activity was the water tables on the 3rd floor. But he also really enjoyed all of the different activities. We are from out of town and will definitely go here again if we are back in the Pittsburgh area- a great... More

It is not really a Museum, there is nothing old there. I would call it a science discovery center. Hands on for kids to experiment and play with water, light, gravity, gears. etc etc. Very fun place for children from 3-15 years is my guess. I would not miss it if you have kids and are spending a day in... More

Spent a few hours here with my wife and 2 year old son. He had an absolute blast! And we had a good time as well, very cool activities, and how cool was it to actually see the original puppets from Mr. Rogers Neighborhood!

This Children's Museum did not give the most bang for its buck. The upstairs room with children's activities was hot and musty. The other activity centers were just plain boring. Our museum in Johnstown is 100 times better than this one. This Children's Museum is smaller than you'd think, especially based on the price. Like the other reviewers that gave... More

You can go over and over again and the kids love it. There is an interactive water feature on the top floor that you must save to last because you are all going to be wet!! But you will love it. A dry shirt might be in order so think of bringing extras with you.

We spent the entire day at the children's museum (10am-5pm) with our kids (5 and 2), there was never a dull moment for any of us. We started out in the craft area so the kids' paintings would be done by the time we left. We went to the waterplay area after lunch and the kids stayed busy there for... More
