Amazing both during the day and night

We enjoyed this greatly even starting late at 8pm on Friday. Wonderful collection of plant life and tropical flowers. Missed the butterflies because they are asleep after 5 pm

My husband and I traveled to Pittsburgh. We have been there many times, but never without our children. We decided to do some attractions that we normally wouldn't do with them. Simply beautiful! We also were lucky enough to see the Grand Prix going on in Pittsburgh this week. The only down fall was getting to the Conservatory and parking... More

We loved this conservatory. It was just the right size: large enough to enjoy but not so large it took our entire day to enjoy. What a nice stop it was while we visited Pittsburgh.

It is probably one of the best in category "scientific and educational value per square foot". Everything is organized in a very clear yet pleasant way. All the interesting plants are labeled with short description. Seasonal orchid display and various indoor butterflies add to the picture.

Visited Pittsburgh recently and decided to view the Conservatory. Would have preferred to go using a Groupon or coupon, but paid the full price. Was met at the entrance by a sweet and very helpful older man. He made sure we had a map to make sure we saw everything. Beautiful plant life and enjoyed the beautiful butterfly room. Well... More

We visited one evening while it was all decorated for Christmas. It was beautiful. I'm so glad I visited. We bought a family membership. I've taken my family, my mom, and can't wait to invite my friends. I can't wait to see the butterflies. Love this place.

We loved the conservatory. The kiddo liked learning about the plants, their grocery store play area, and the train set. But where we could have spent the whole day walking around the different rooms, she got bored. Easily. If we go back, we intend on having a plan and not staying longer than an hour and half.

On top of the great collection, I want to give two thumbs up for their customer service. My five year old left his toy stuff animal there (wow what a disaster, especially that we are from out of state and going back home the next day). They found it and called me right away. Life is good :-) Love the... More

I have been a Master Gardener for Phipps since 2008. I've made lots of trips to their location, where I have chosen to donate a portion of the gardening knowledge and abilities I possess. I am still in wonder of this site. Centrally located in Oakland, the parking can be a bit of a challenge. There is some free parking... More

My mom and I drove down from the Erie area to see the Gardens and take a terrarium making class. The Conservatory was very nice. Many different rooms to explore, each with a different theme of plants. We also enjoyed the beautiful glass sculptures interspersed throughout. The Conservatory was easy to find with my GPS and using the address given... More
