We've been to many gardens but this is the most expansive and well done. The indoor and outdoor gardens are CREATIONS featuring such a variety of plants and flowers. The bridges and waterfalls make it unique. And the glass sculptures are an added bonus.

We attended a wedding here which was very nice and got a chance to look around after the ceremony. We did visit during the summer and it is important to remember how hot it can get in this place and to dress appropriately. Make sure to wear comfortable shoes and be prepared for uneven walking surfaces. There are plenty of... More

If you like plants and trees, Phipps Conservatory is the place for you. A few years ago it had a beautiful "facelift." There is a butterfly room, and bonsai room and lots lots more. There are special exhibits at various times of year. Christmas at Phipps is especially festive!!!

Yes, we are a little biased because we are members, but our whole family loves visiting here, especially during the seasonal flower shows. My kids liked it when they were young and now, as college students, they still love walking through. We take our visitors here and all, except one family, thought it was really amazing. Not sure why the... More

Phipps is located in the Oakland area near Schenley Park in Pittsburgh. This is one of the most beautiful botanic gardens in in United States. There are a few sections which are outdoors but the majority of the gardens are indoors for year-round viewing. Currently, the butterfly exhibit is going on. This exhibit allows you to walk into a room... More

I wasn't sure what to expect. My date and I enjoyed our stay. The layout was easy to navigate and the Chiully Glass sculptures add a surreal element to the scenery. They had a gorgeous outdoor area where kids can roam around and be wild. Clean fun for all ages. We also went during a non busy time of day... More

Such a beautiful place for little ones to explore. Kids hands in activities and a super market were the highlight for my 9 & 5 year old. It is very hot and humid so take water and a fan.

We enjoyed this greatly even starting late at 8pm on Friday. Wonderful collection of plant life and tropical flowers. Missed the butterflies because they are asleep after 5 pm
