Lots of flowers and exotic plants! I could take many beautiful pictures. The indian room is wonderful with a wonderful recreated atmosphere.

Uninspired, much smaller than the great Longwood Gardens. Had to pay to park, was told the main toilets were not working. Main room featured a model train, not what garden-lovers want. Tropical indoor rooms were bland, a "talk" on garlic featured someone reading from the very basic handout. When we finally asked where the outdoor gardens were, they said they... More

Beautiful gardens, lots of variety, and lots of miniature trains! We spent a lovely couple of hours here and thought it was worth the price. I wish I could go at Christmas... it's probably amazing! The only downside was that all of the bathrooms were out of order except some single ones at the very back of the place. Hopefully... More

We got the guided tour (it was just the two of us plus the guide). It was well worth the extra money. Our guide, Sylvia, was so great with explaining everything to us, and she was really enthusiastic about the different permanent and temporary exhibits. She also went at our pace throughout the tour by making sure we weren't feeling... More

Frankly, we chose this attraction because it was a rainy day, and our first choice was an outdoor attraction, so we chose to stay dry! I'm not normally a "plant lover", but this place surprised me. There are so many different "rooms" with native plants, you feel like you can walk from the rain forest to the desert to the... More

I have been a Pittsburgh native all my life and I have only been to Phipps twice, but I have been impressed with the beauty of their gardens on both occasions. This time we took my grandmother to enjoy the butterfly garden for her birthday. No where else in Pittsburgh can you walk into a room and be surrounded by... More
