There are lots of things to do in the state park that you can't do just anywhere, like sliding down rock falls, kayaking, playing in a rocky river, and hiking to a waterfall. Its close to lots of attractions and you could occupy a family for days camping nearby. A local gem!

Be advised that the ratings of the trails are based on conparison to the trails within the park and are NOT ratings based on general difficulty!

This park is pretty and offers a nice hub of activities. Hikers, bikers, photographers, bikers, picnickers, whitewater rafters, fishermen too. So much more than a "park"!

The bicycle trail from Ohiopyle to Connellsville was in excellent condition. The falls at Ohiopyle were the only real scenic stop, but if you like biking, the trail was well maintained. It is shaded almost the entire trip. There is only one port-a-john about half way and no drinking water until you get into a town. You can rent a... More

After a beautiful scenic drive on historic National Pike highway, and a side mountain road you find yourself at this river oasis. Beautiful rockscapes, hiking, rafting, nature watching, people from all over!

Beautiful- one word to describe the state park. The campground sits atop the mountain. A bike trail from the campground connects to the Great Allegheny Passage, which leads to the small town of Ohiopyle. This trail is not for novice riders. It is a rock and dirt trail down the side of the mountain. My husband and my teenage son... More

There is plenty to do around ohiopyle and we found the town to be quaint. Bike trails were awesome. Natural beauty of the area cannot be overstated. Kentuck campground was good. The campground was clean and the staff was awesome. Checking was a breeze. The only complaint was the noise level. Camp sites were on top of each other and... More
