This is a beautiful State Park, but we noticed on this trip that it's getting a little built up around the main trail head. It's really not that bad, but there used to be less commercial distractions - especially right along the river. I'm not sure I appreciate the commercial enterprise taking up space next to the new visitor's center... More

Ohiopyle has good trails for every level of difficulty. The scenery is beautiful. The rangers were helpful. The trail maps were somewhat difficult to read, but I think it would be difficult to get lost.

Ohiopyle is always a natural delight to visit but this time I finally got to take a beginners rafting trip. I'd never rafted before, and this was a substantial outing, but our guide was patient and helpful and even a full-blown thunderstorm didn't dampen the pleasure of the outing.

great for picnics, nice trails into the jungle....picturesque. Very wide river...amazing waterfall, large and powerful......beware of snakes if you go skipping across the rocks...lol........stay in the areas designated for swimming......underlying rocks stata is uneven with unexpected dips ....very strong currents in the middle.....overall...it's really cool place place to hang out

We rented a Yurt in the Ohiopyle campground. We were delighted to find that the yurt was clean and had two sets of bunks, one with a double on the bottom, and the mattresses were covered in vinyl, there were fans in both rooms, and the kitchen has a full fridge, 2burner stove and a microwave.NO Water, but handy to... We stopped by here on our way to Fallingwater and watched some of the rafters and kayak's and watched the falls. We ate lunch and did a bit of souvenir shopping. This is a must see and do place and I only wish we had more time. We will definitely be back for more fun and rafting!

this is not for the faint-hearted, but the several companies that offer a 5 hour, 7.5 miles on the river trip are well-organized and safety-minded. no doubt everyone gets very wet and falling out ("swimming") is common, so i wouldn't want to try this except in warm weather. unlike other whitewater places, a guide will not be in your raft--they... We did another one of our summer day trips to one of our favorite scenic state parks, Ohiopyle, located nearby our town. The amazing white waterfalls and river water rushing all around us never cease to amaze us. it was a beautiful sunny day to relax by the river and wade through it. Many of our trips here involved biking... More

This is a great place for the family because they offer so much to do. We hiked, rented bikes, went white water rafting, fished, played basketball, and visited Cucumber falls. Ohiopyle was a great place to stay. The scenery was beautiful.

I wish we were more daring - it was such fun watching the kayaking and the rafters riding the river. Beautiful scenery - the natural slide with raging waters and Cucumber falls - gorgeous! A must see for all!
