I happened across the website to this zoo by searching for zoos in PA. The website looked fantastic and I wanted to go see the zoo. I happened to be vacationing in Rehobeth Beach and decided to make the trip to see the animals. Boy were me and my sister dissapointed. We are from the Northern Virginia area so we... More

I've been taking my kids to the Elmwood Park Zoo for years. It's a smaller zoo, but has the core group of animals one might expect. It's a nice stop for an afternoon with the family. Besides, it beats going into the city and the parking is free! This year we finally bought the premium family package which is for... More

I used to live in Norristown. It was a blast! Go swimming in the quarry, get a Boylan's to drink and head off to the zoo.

My sons (6 and 7) were asking to go to the zoo and I thought a trip to the Philadelphia Zoo might be too overwhelming in the summer heat. I decided to check out EPZ and I'm glad we did. Parking was free and adjacent to the entrance- unlike the Philadelphia Zoo where you sometimes have to park a distance... More

Lovely park that is undergoing some upgrades. Easy to walk around and very kid friendly. Staff is pleasant and helpful.

I live two houses from the zoo and have started bringing my daughter here over 8 years ago. It has gone through so many improvements in the past couple years. They have added monkeys, butterfly houses, birds of paradise etc. The most exciting is the feeding the giraffes that start around Memorial day weekend until fall. They have also started... More

My wife and I have taken our grandkids quite a few times. Take your time and spend the entire day. The kids won't get bored, and neither will you!

This is not a large zoo, but it has a lot of animals and fun to take your small children. We went during the weekend and it took us 2 hours to get through with all the other families that were around us. They have a wide variety of animals and the workers know so much about each individual animal.... More

Not a very large zoo but interesting none the less. My husband and I went and it took approximately 1 hr. 15 mins. to see everything. The animal exhibits are great and the animals appear very healthy and well maintained. It has a small playground for the kids and you can bring your lunch and have a picnic inside the... More

I visited Elmwood Park Zoo for the 1st time & I was immediately blown away. This zoo is just big enough to take our 4 year old to. I was worried it would be too small or maybe boring but I was wrong. We spent the afternoon looking at all of the animals, having a snack at the "restaurant" and... More
