Love this place....

Fond memories of the lions roaring and peacocks crowing in the early morning as a kid. They have really kept it up throughout the years. Support your local zoo!!

A very nice place to take small children, make sure to bring lots of money for all the rides and feelings. $6 to ride a horse for 3 minutes $4 for Merry Go Round $4 for to ride animal trolley exorbitant prices for Zip lines Remember separate prices to feed giraffes, bison, chickens, fish, swans and ducks. Just think what... More

Took our 31/2 year old grandson for the afternoon and we had a delightful time. Just the right amount of walking, animals, activities and ice cream for us. Free parking and some separate charges, but reasonable entrance fee and then, provides choices (train ride, pony ride, face painting, carousel).

Easy to get to, plenty of parking, tons of animals, up to date animal houses and hospitable & friendly workers--what more could you possibly ask for? My only complaint would be of the pathways to each exhibit were uneven and hard to navigate for me, but the Moms with strollers didn't seem to have any difficulty.

I should preface this by saying we went on a weekday in April and the zoo didn't seem to be in full swing yet. There was a lot of work being done around the zoo that day so maybe a visit in the summer or on a weekend would be better and a better representation of the place. That said... More

Last week our grandchildren stayed with us for the week. We took them to the Elmwood zoo. We had a good time, but we're a little disappointed. Some of the animals were away for the winter. An employee explained. In the cold weather, some of the animals go to another zoo, where they can stay warm in the cold weather.... More

We have been going to Elmwood for years and each time we have had fun with the children. There are many hills so bring a stroller because your children will get tired. They have adequate exhibits but each time we go there is always a lack of animals in the exhibits which is disappointing. It would be nice if they... More

I went together with my wife and kid. Small zoo but lots of things to do. It's a nice place to go in Norristown for a Sunday. We went for Halloween and the trick-or-treat event was fun. I would go again with my family.

From getting up close to the buffalos, to spending countless periods of time watching the otters, the pleasant park environment zoo is a great break from a busy life. IT's great for family and kids.

Elmwood park zoo has come a long way since I was a kid. There have been many upgrades, including a nice playground area, a new buffalo petting area, giraffe feeding opportunities in the summer, a rope obstacle course, bat exhibit, a cafe with outdoor seating, seasonal ice skating (seperate cost), and many educational opportunities during the year for kids and...
