Elmwood Park Zoo has been around for many, many, many years! Kudos to the staff for trying to keep the park looking nice and trying to have some kind of attraction for the families in the area.

Our company (we voted) to see where we would like to have our Employee Appreciation Day. We choose Elmwood Zoo. It was a Great Day!! I took my 4 year old niece, whom enjoyed (most) things. A lot of my co-workers did the Zip Line. Most said it was a lot for an older adult with all the obstacles. It... More

I am visiting family in the USA in Warrington, coming from Namibia in Africa. We visited this small zoo the past Sunday. Entrance U$ 15 per person. Its a lovely, clean kids friendly little zoo, well worth the visit, with petting zoo and feeding opportunities for the giraffes and the bison - though you have to pay extra for this.... More

This zoo is a small zoo and should not have felines. The two jaguars that they have, although their enclosure was not tiny, it was not enough for the cats to run. Because this is their nature to run and they cannot, these two beautiful creatures paced back and forth and only in about six feet of space. This is... More

The zoo itself is awful. Small and smelly, the animals are kept in small cages, and on a 92 degree day in June very few had sufficient water supply. It was sad. We were a group of 8 (4 adults, 2 seniors, and 2 children under 10). We went thinking we would check out the animals and maybe do a... More

If you have children between 2-5 they will really enjoy the zoo. It is small and maneuverable and you have the ability to enter, see and do everything in two hours and be on your way. The tickets were a bit pricey and the bottled water + additional tickets for rides were more of a nuisance than anything. Would have... More

Visited zoo over weekend with family and two younger kids. Based on other reviews we expected a great visit with our kids having an opportunity to see animals. Ultimately, most exhibits were moved, in transition, closed or only accessible to a greater degree if you paid out additional money to feed the animals a lettuce leaf. For example, the bison... This is a very easy zoo to visit, it's small, there is a great playground, there are enough animals to keep young kids entertained. We like to go in the morning, pack a lunch, enjoy it on a shady picnic table and leave before it gets too hot.

We take my son one a year. It is a small zoo but easy to see everything in one afternoon. It costs $3.00 a person to feed the giraffes or the bison. This year they added a Carousel Ride and Catepillar Train for the kids. The cost is high $4.00 a person for a short ride. They also added Treetop... More

Fond memories of the lions roaring and peacocks crowing in the early morning as a kid. They have really kept it up throughout the years. Support your local zoo!!
