Not like I remembered!

I used to come here as a child, boy has it changed! Lots of animals, nice layout rides for children, a picnic area and new red pandas!

I wasn't sure what to expect. I didn't think it would be different or better from the philadelphia zoo. I can't exactly say it's better, but I can say it *is* different. I mean, my 3 yo (and us, her parents) got to feed a giraffe. To feed them from your hand and be literally that close to them--so cool!!!!... More

It has been a few years since I went to this zoo. Today I took my 12 year old son and we both enjoyed it. It is still a small zoo but they have added some nice experiences to enhance the zoo. We fed Giraffes which was $3./person. There was a treetop adventure area with a very manageable course for... More

Although its not a major city zoo, this one does offer a lot of attractions. It also has a very nice playground located within its walls free of charge. There is also a great zip line park here that is an extra fee but well worth it. Make sure to reserve your appointment time though for the zip line part... More

The zoo is a nice place but extremely expensive in my opinion. I think I remember when you could go there for free, but now everything is so costly. Almost $15 per adult to get in and then many things need to be paid for when inside. I got a ticket for the carousel for my grandson who is a... More

Like many other commentators mentioned I found the animals to be very lethargic. Many were just sleeping, even the monkeys. The habitats were outdated and way too small. My 9 and 11 year old did the 'Treetop adventure' zip line. If you are under 16 years you can only do the cub line which is a joke and not worth... More

This was a great little zoo....that isn't as little as I thought. It's big enough to spend a full day and enough to see and do for the little ones. They even added a zip line where kids can 'fly' over some of the animals. There's horse rides and you can feed a giraffe. It's a beautiful park with nice... More

We arrived & were warmly greeted. Very reasonable admission. Animals are in great health & pens are well-maintained & very clean. Great written explanations at each area, with focus on conservation & extinction awareness. The bird exhibit is amazing, as is giraffe feeding! Very friendly staff & well-run zoo. The rides and playground for young children were reasonably priced, as... More

We like 20 minutes from Elmwood Park Zoo, and 25 from the Philadelphia Zoo. On it's busiest day, EPZ has no traffic jams or parking issues. The busiest exhibit is the kids playground. It's not an amazing must see zoo. The philadelphia has better 'must see' animals and is much bigger, but this is a great low key introduction for... More

Elmwood Park Zoo has been around for many, many, many years! Kudos to the staff for trying to keep the park looking nice and trying to have some kind of attraction for the families in the area.
