$20 to park your car, plus another $20 for each adult for the CHEAPEST ticket, and then another $18 each for the little ones. Scenery wasn't the greatest except that you run through the backyards of McMansions. Plus, they were not running the cool little steam engine, just some smelly old diesel engine. However, the kids enjoyed watching a sloth... More

My husband and I were in New Hope and while waiting for our reservation at a restaurant we decided to go on the train. We were very disappointed. We opted for the open air car since it was a beautiful day. The ride was extremely short, less than 15 minutes to Lahaska, then another 10 minutes while the engine was... More

I have to say that reading all of the negative reviews I am hesitant about booking my daughter's birthday party on the train. However, my 2 rides on the train were always a good experience. I took one with a friend which was really nice in the fall, and then I treated my daughter at Christmas time to take a... More

This was a nice train ride through lower Bucks County. Things I liked: very friendly staff, you could hear what the guide was saying over the speakers and the train was nice and clean. The main disappointment was that the steam engine wasn't running. It was scheduled to run but, to their credit they did warn us that they can't... More

We had company so went for a train ride. It cost us $15.00 to park the car plus it cost each one $20.00 plus tax for the cheapest train car. It was about 25 minutes to Lahaska and 15 minutes back to New Hope.

We traditionally ride the Christmas Train, though I think this was the last year as our 11 year old has pretty much outgrown the experience. For the Christmas ride, I highly recommended riding after sunset, as you then get to see some lights in the surrounding neighborhoods. While the quality of the NH&IRR has improved drastically over the past 10... More

I read about the steam engine, but we got a diesel engine that reeked so much it gave us headaches and made my eyes burn. The actual ride is about 25 minutes (they stop to switch the locomotive around) but there isn't much to see (we did see a couple deer and a snake in a stream) and it was... More

We used a GroupOn deal but still felt cheated. The station has nothing to do for the kids but sit and wait for the train. Ride was less than a hour. Parking is $20. We could not hear the narrator over the train noise. He also spoke very fast. For the money, Strausburg is a better buy.

Absolutely nothing to see, way overpriced. The ride is 35 - 40 min. We took the open cabin and the diesel engine made us coughing a lot. Spend your money somewhere else.

The Ivyland railroad is the highlight of any trip to New Hope. Picturesque view and a time to relax. It even has dining if you wish. Prices are affordable and after a day of strolling through a friendly town loaded with a variety of shops, it became a great place to rest, take more photos and check all the bargains... More
