nice 45 min ride

A nice 45 min ride. I thought it was a little expensive. But overall very nice. Children will really enjoy the train.

My wife and I usually take this ride once or twice a year during the change of seasons. It's about three miles each way and gives you a glimpse into a bygone era. The cars are well appointed and drinks and snacks are available. During the holidays there are a lot of children aboard. They also offer dinner trains but... More

We (3 adult women) took the train ride for something to do besides walk and shop. It was ok, for the 45 minutes it took to ride to Lahaska and back. There is a narrative of local history on the ride out, and some nice scenery. It was a nice day so we were able to ride with the windows... More

My husband and I decided to go on this little tour, similar to the Strasburg Railroad, also in Pennsylvania. It was a relaxing hour, not too much to see really, but so what?! We "splurged" for a glass of wine and an iced tea (a bit over-priced, but it added to the experience; again, so what?!). I usually get motion-sick,... More

Went with my wife and a friend. Sounded like a fun idea for a summer afternoon. It was NOT fun at all. We would have probably had more fun ripping up the $86 this cost the three of us and stuffing it down a drain. First, we had to pay $20 to park, but as that seemed to be a... More

Went a few years ago for the Fall Foliage Tour and the leaves were in peak season so it was certainly fun. The history was interesting with seeing the old mills and homesteads. Back this past June and they let my 7-year old daughter ride in the engine with them, and she was in heaven. She is a train fanatic... More

Peaceful and cute. Kids love it during the holidays with Mr. and Mrs. Claus. Drinks served on board. Check for tickets in advance.

Took a ride on the railroad last weekend and was a little disappointed. While the short 45 min ride was happening a staff member read a history of this particular rail line. Interesting somewhat but we came more for the relaxation and scenic views along the ride. Not so much going on in that regard. Most of the ride was... More

The train ride was a nice break from all the walking a day in New Hope entails. It was scenic & informative & the Train is beautifully restored.....Glad we took the time to enjoy it!

The ride is short but memorable allowing riders to not only be transported into the beautiful Pennsylvania countryside, but 100 years back in history. The only thing wrong with this is it's too short:
