Check out the new digs for the Scranton Wilkes-Barre RailRiders, the triple A affiliate for the Yankees. Stay at the Springhill Suites - it overlooks the stadium and is newly built.

We learned they just redid the stadium and it's a fun place to watch a minor league game. There's lots of seating options, so pick the one that works for you. The food choices are typical stadium food - not overly expensive, but not cheap either - may want to eat prior to the game to save some bucks (and... More

This was my first visit to the remodeled ballpark. This is definitely one of the best minor league ballparks that I have visited. The staff was extremely helpful and there were plenty of knowledgeable employees to answer any questions that you may have. The stadium was very clean as were the restrooms. Food selections were numerous, well priced and much... More

Ordered tickets for a game OVER PHONE in June in late May since I happened to be passing through the area. I asked the person on the phone to send me tickets via mail, as I did not want to wait in lines when I got to the stadium. (reasonable request, right?). They said they would get them right out... While many people used to complain that old stadium that stood in the exact spot felt to "major league," no one can complain of that now. The old "Lackawanna County Stadium" was designed to resemble Veterans Stadium, old home of the Phillies, since the Scranton Wilkes Barre Red Barrons were the minor league affiliate of the Phillies. But once the... More

State of the art stadium with all the amenities one would expect from its parent New York Yankees. Excellent sightlines, state of the art scoreboard (for AAA baseball) and family friendly fun in center field. I assume that the parking lot will soon be paved (it wasn't during my June visit). The quality of the actual Scranton-Wilkes Barre Rail Riders... More

went with my wife. Fun to watch with activities between innings, All the seats are good. Only issue was at the box office. I had seen great seats available on line, but was told they were no longer available at box office. We got good seats, but so many better seats were empty! Clean place. Would go again with kids.

nicely situated, easy to get to, very affordable -- the stadium doesn't look very charming from the outside, but a great minor league experience once you're inside. If you're not a Yankee fan, root against the home team! Sizeable merchandise store with wide variety of offerings.

Good food, fairly priced, good AAA-MLB affiliate baseball, nice place to spend a summer evening. The mid-inning antics are typical - the familiar grocery cart race, beanbag tosses, contests, t-shirt tosses, etc. Big grassy berm in the outfield if you don't want a stadium seat. Free programs with score card, something you don't get at any big-league parks and not... More

Great place to take the family. Very kid friendly with kid zone games and bounce house. Prices were very reasonable. Game was exciting. Had lots of entertainment between innings. Staff was friendly.
