We decided to take our toddler on the train ride as she had never been on one before. It was only an hour long. The train was interesting and the conductor gave some good history of the area. It was fun, but I think the Sunday tours with lunch or the special holiday trains would be a better draw!

I went with my Book Club when we were reviewing "Girl On the Train". We had a delightful time and our slow movement down the rail line was very relaxing. Our guide/conductor, John Pullman. was very informative and well-versed on the history of this area and that of the train/transportation systems of the time. There were distractions of other passengers... More

Took our grandchildren for a ride, they were a little bored but it was nice down time for them and me. They were 6 & 7 yrs old. The history of was interesting and everyone is very friendly. Of course the gift shop was a highlight as well. I would recommend taking this ride and there are special occasions offered... More

Took Grandkids on Polar Bear Express. Combine fascination with trains, love of Polar Express story, family time and Santa. You get the idea. Could not have thought up a better experience.

What an awesome experience. We took our 2 1/2 year old who is train crazy on this adventure. He was so excited to be riding a train with a real conductor. We all enjoyed the stories and history presented by the friendly conductor. This was a perfect length of trip and the sights were beautiful. We plan to return again... More

Every once in awhile, my husband and I go down to Middletown and take a train ride! It's relaxing, we get out and it's a nice slow ride along the the river! Worth the money!!

This ride is about an hour along a river, so was very pleasant, scenic and relaxing. Hubby loved getting to tour the RR yard and see all the work being done in the shops.

I have been on the train several times. It is an older train, but; that adds to the historic nature of the ride. The ride is very scenic and relaxing, and, the kids just think it's plain cool to be on a train. They do themed rides at Christmas, Halloween and such. Don't expect a lot of bells and whistles... We have ridden many trains on the northeast. This train is one of the least expensive, but you get what you pay for (train is older, and station yard is a bit rundown). With that being said, we had a wonderful time! I have a 6yr old boy and 3 yr old girl and they both enjoyed it. It is... More
