Wonderful collaboration between the Pennsylvania DOT and art students at the local college. Park your car in the DOT lot and it's an easy walk along the length of the attraction. It's huge and features everything from people canoeing to deer feeding to storefronts -- all made from discarded highway signs. Definitely worth a stop.

An unexpected treat in Meadville! I stumbled across the sign wall while I was out looking for a place to eat supper and then made it a point to return the next morning so I could really enjoy the creativity.

we enjoyed looking at the creative ways these sign sculptures were made. you can park in a shopping center at one side of it and walk most of the way down the road to look at the sculptures, but there is a spot near the end where the berm of the road is overgrown and you cant really walk, just... This was amazing to see , the first time I saw it I had no idea what the story behind it was but when you find out the story the next time you see it, it has a whole different meaning.

This is one of the first things we noticed coming into town when we moved here. It is a really cool site to see and the good news is coming into Meadville of 79 you can't miss it.

Who would guess that old highway signs could reflect the history and character of Northwest Pa? This unique experience let's one take a different perspective of government, farming, and our own Allegheny College thru signs. Take a balloon ride with the Thurston Classic over rivers and fields. See the County Courthouse in its old glory. Watch out for the Dist... More

Ever wonder what happens to old road sign, at the PENNDOT facility in Meadville they have taken all those old signs and turned them into works of art, landscapes, points of interest and huge flowers. Every time I go by I see something that I have not seen before. Allegheny College and PennDOT have done a wonderful job. If you... More

Even though I live in the area, I never tire of seeing the unique way Alllegheny College art students captured the essence of Crawford County using recycled street signs. Worth visiting Meadville, PA to see!

This display is quite amazing. It is made out of solely traffic signs and was designed and build in collaboration between Allegheny College's CEED and PennDOT. It is quite long and displays different themes. We took a detour just to see this.

A well designed and thoughtful re-use of old highway traffic signs. This collaborative art project between Allegheny College and PennDOT is a wonderful sight at one of the gateway entrances to Meadville. Technically located in Vernon Township, the sign pictures are a visual representation of various places around Meadville. This may have been the first of its kind in the... More
