This was a wonderful place to visit, both for the historical aspect and the chocolate. They have an amazing display setup for the history of the location, as well as many, many variates of chocolate and stuff dipped in chocolate.

The factory look and the movie were interesting. It was nice to see the chocolate being created. Prices were unbelievably high and the chocolate was just ok. I would probably skip this next time.

Thank you for sharing your thoughts. We're glad to hear that you enjoyed the store, the movie, and watching the ladies making the chocolates. Sorry to hear that the chocolate itself did not meet your personal expectations as we do strive to offer a quality product at a reasonable price. More

I live in Lititz. And on a good day, and it is always a good day when this happens, you can smell that chocolate. Take the test. Eat a bud(Wilbur) and a kiss(Hershey). Buds win! You can taste that butter. Julia was right--everything is better with butter.

You will find a store that sells chocolates, and in the back, 3 or 4 women dipping fruit and hand-filling the same chocolate molds I fill at home. I bought fudge and a bag of mixed milk and semi-sweet chocolate buds. While both were brown and sweet, the chocolate flavor was barely there. HUGE disappointment for this visitor. Not worth... More

Gotta stop by if you like chocolate. They make it right there. We love the dark chocolate covered pretzels. Small museum too

I though this was going to be a factory tour but it is not. The smell of chocolate in the air outside is very inviting but a little misleading. The shop is full of memorabilia, and a view of women making chocolate in molds but that is it. Worth a visit but not for an out of your way trip.

Thank you for visiting Wilbur Chocolate Candy Store. Yes, the delicious smell of chocolate does permeate the air throughout our town, thanks to the manufacturing going on full time here in our facility. Unfortunately, due to governmental restrictions, we cannot offer a tour of the factory itself. However, we do offer a video on the entire production of chocolate, our... More

I was disappointed that I didn't see the creation of the chocolate candy confections that have been included in other chocolate factories I have visited. But, I have to say, the chocolate peanut butter candy made up for that! I did enjoy the history showcases that were available. The candy is expensive, but so good it is worth the treat.... More

Thank you for visiting our Wilbur Chocolate Store. We're so glad that you enjoyed the quality of our chocolates! Unfortunately, due to restrictions set by the government, our factory area is not able to be open to the public. However, we do hope that you got an opportunity to watch the chocolate candies being handmade back in our kitchen, which... More

Better chocolate than that manufactured by that gigantic company in Hershey PA. Wilbur's is still made using natural chocolate butter and doesn't substitute less expensive ingredients. The "Chocolate Museum" in Lititz is not so wonderful, but the actual product is great. Wilbur's is part of the Cargill Corporation,

Haehnle, thank you very much for your review. We do take pride in our product and we're glad you are a fan! Most of the "musuem" items that are scattered throughout the store (besides the 1800s kitchen we have set up for the public) were collected by Penny Buzzard, wife of the company president back when the store first opened.... We have been to Wilbur Chocolate many times. The reason for our many visits is because regardless of the price per pound, we just love their chocolate. It melts right in your mouth. Nice and creamy also..I see in other reviews people talk about the price, well there isn't much out there that the prices aren't going up! We are... More

Oh, Kelly! What a lovely post, thank you SO much! As you pointed out, as the cost of ingredients goes up, it is reflected in the pricing--we really have no choice about that. We do our best, however, to have reasonable prices for our quality products. We're very glad you enjoy Wilbur Chocolate and we hope you visit often! Thanks... More

Everyone visits here...been in biz longer than Hershey. The buds are terrific. Small museum. You can see employees making chocolate, but no factory tour.
