I visited Wilbur Chocolate when I was staying in Hershey PA. Wilbur is the real deal. It was like going back in time. The kids running in to get a free sample was priceless. The candy is good, the people friendly. Worth the trip.

I used to live in what was once the Baker Chocolate Factory. While I lived there I learned a lot about the history and making of chocolate. The museum at Wilbur's does a very good job of showing the development of chocolate making over time. There are lots and lots of items specific to Wilbur's. I'd never heard of Wilbur's... More

Actually, I was hoping for a tour of the facility but that was not to be. They do have a large display of old chocolate making molds and memorabilia but the closest they have to a tour is a constantly running movie on a flat screen, with seating for maybe four people. Oh, they had a few people doing chocolate... More

Roy_Hinkley - Thank you for taking the time to share your review with everyone; we appreciate it. We would like to clarify, however, that Hershey and Wilbur serve two DIFFERENT markets. Hershey is a retail operation whereas Wilbur is an industrial organization; we are the cocoa and chocolate division of Cargill. This is the ONLY Wilbur store in the world... More

This is a small shop and museum with a glass walled area at the end where you can see some of the employees hand-making chocolate products. There is a video running with the history of chocolate and lots of small displays of drinking chocolate pots, chocolate making equipment and other ephemera. Well worth a 30-45 minute visit or so, then... More

Took my kids here for a fun afternoon activity, we enjoyed ourselves but it's not a factory tour as one might expect. There is a large but cramped candy store with some antiques and memorabilia on the walls. In the back you can see a small kitchen with some women hand-making chocolate. The candy is a bit pricy but very... More

ESouth398 - Thank you for visiting our store and for taking the time to share your views; we appreciate it. Perhaps next time you plan a trip, you'll stop back in and participate in a Play Date Saturday (a hands-on lesson and you eat your piece), a Tasty Tuesday (when, 2-3 p.m.) we hand out free samples of a variety... Great air-conditioned store/museum/kitchen. Wonderful choices in the gift shop, with samples! Ladies in the viewable kitchen were making fudge and coconut cups. You can interract with the cooks.

A nice shop full of wonderful chocolates in the front of the factory. There is sort of a museum area and workers making specialty chocolates behind a set of windows in the back of the shop. No matter what, the chocolate is great though. You will only need 20-30 minutes here. Parking is available across the street.

I took my teen campers from a local ymca. I was a little nervous to have a bunch of teenagers be in a small location. They loved the display and watching the ladies make candies. They really loved the free samples and they all bought some candy while there. I would go again.

We visited the Wilbur Chocolate company after visiting a larger chocolate factory in PA and enjoyed Wilbur much more. Wilbur the cherub is too cute for words and the chocolate buds are creamy and delicious. The self-guided tour and gift shop are worth the time it takes to visit. Enjoy!!
