We saw a brochure advertising Wilbur Chocolate Co. and then went to have the advertised tour of the chocolate factory and to see how chocolate is made with our children. We thought that using the word "tour" was a bit misleading. They had a nice collection of historical chocolate packaging, you could see chocolate candies being made through clear window... More

Nice collection of antique candy packaging and marketing items. Good chocolate, Apparently, their drop shaped chocolate pre-dates Hershey's kisses.

Watch them make a variety of chocolate items. The chocolate is delicious. They are a small company and very select in its flavor and taste. The chocolate aroma follows you around the small museum. Only takes a small time to browse and buy.

This is very short. I'll start with that. There is a free walking "tour" if you wanna call it that. There are a few rooms with displays of old chocolate company memorabilia (which is cool, don't get me wrong) but it didn't hold my kids (7 and 5) attention for very long. I personally loved looking at the wall of... More

Convenient to downtown shopping area and right beside the Information Center and State Park. Awesome gift shop! Also includes small museum where you can watch where the magic happens. Free samples! Chocolate options for everyone....my favorite was the chocolate covered pretzel with peanut butter!

This was one of our stops in Lititz on our way to Lancaster. We enjoyed watching the ladies making the candies. There are many choices of chocolates. Make sure to try the free samples of the Wilbur buds. Well worth a stop if you like chocolate and history.

Wilbur Chocolate is a small shop in an equally small town of Lititz. The confectionary store is vastly different from the more commercial chocolates of Hershey and town of Hershey which is not too far away. They are both chocolates, yet, they are so different. There are all kinds of chocolates at Wilbur. They are hand-molded in different shapes and... More

Dear Angooredcow, what a great, thorough review! We very much appreciate the fact that you took the time to share your views with everyone here on Trip Advisor. Lots of history in the back room with a great video. The woman working the candy dipping were very pleasant and willing to help you make a selection. I can see that this would be crowded if there is a tour group but if you have 10 or less it is quite easy to learn and select what you want.... More

While doing a Chocolate Tour in Philadelphia last year, our tour guide mentioned Wilbur Chocolate. My wife was familiar with it because an underwriter from Lititz Mutual Insurance would provide samples whenever he visited her company. Since we were in the area I wanted to check it out for myself. For those who do not know Wilbur and Hershey were... More

Curt, thanks so much for visiting and for taking the time to share your thoughts with everyone here on Trip Advisor! One note, though, Hershey and Wilbur were NEVER partners. It IS correct that Mr. Hershey DID have a business here in Lititz for a VERY brief time but that had nothing at all to do with Wilbur. The two... More
