great camping

Been going here for years. Campsites for all levels from tent to campers to RV's. Bathrooms need some remodeling but overall great place to swim, bike, camp, kayak.

We went here looking for a trail to hike, and we were surprised with what we found. We hiked about 3 miles, and that was only a small fraction of the distance we could have gone! They have everything here....frisbee golf, swimming, boating, fishing, etc, etc, etc. You name it, they got it! I'm looking forward to coming back in... More

Very disappointed when my family of 4 arrived for our weekend of cqmping which we paid for online, and booked several weeks ahead. It was a holiday weekend, and we were told our reservation aas only valid if after 3pm no one showed up for a walk in site. Wait. What? I showed confirmation numbers, emails, our supposed site. Nothing... More

We stayed in the RV site 274B. It was very roomy for our 30 ft travel trailer and Dodge 3500. We noted that most of the sites in this loop were quite large. It was very quiet and there was room between sites for some privacy. We camped the very last day of the camping season, and there weren't many... More

Stopped in to take a hike and wound up amazed at the beauty! Wonderful place to hike-flat-as well as paddle a kayak, go fishing, even have a picnic.

We have camped here 5 or 6 times since 2007. We have fished from our bass boat, kayaked, biked some of thethe lake trail & walked part of the same trail. During this time a few nicer, larger campsites were added. We camped in 273 & another nearby site in this newer area most recently. We noticed some sites have... More

Nice place to have some quiet family time. My son loves walking around spotting different animals. The trails are nice. I wish they were marked a little better though... The campground is

I have been going to this park for most of my 50 years. It's great to picnic in. Non powered boats are an excellent choice. Family events a superb place with no issues. New buildings and bathrooms. Picnic tables could be replaced but I won't fault the government here for getting every last penny of use out of them. My... More

Overall the park is very clean and the lake is great for kayaking and canoeing. I didn't see any boats using anything larger than a trolling motor. There are very nice hiking trails which was a nice walk. Not too challenging though, We camped for 1 week with a 26ft travel trailer and there are many sites to accommodate such... More

This is a decent, local park that you can visit for no cost. Summer--All you need is a swimsuit, towel, and any picnic supplies you like. We take folding camping chairs. Floats-- There is room for inner tubes and small floating toys for children. Snack bar-- Available for treats. Playground-- Nice jungle gym style toys. "Beach"-- There is no sand.... More
