This State Park is well kept for the most part. Facilities are usually clean and the concession stand has a variety of selections.

We have been here a couple times, and it is always crowded, but respectful. Fishing is fun for kids. Plenty of spots for picnics. We hiked the Lakeside Trail the last time (about 8.5 miles) and it only took about 5.5 hours. Very clearly marked and clean. They rent kayaks, canoes and bikes. Please note: all Pennsylvania state parks are... More

Have camped here numerous times in the past 40 years. Always love returning. Besides camping, kayaking is also great. Love bird watching and taking pictures. Have been there summer and fall. Other attractions are near by if you want something more than camping.

We spent Memorial Day weekend at camp site #144. It's tiny, doesn't have a pad for tent, and is basically camping right on the road. The fire pit is literally three feet from the road. The campsites here vary widely. Unfortunately we were stuck with the poorest excuse for a spot.

My co-workers went here to play disc golf and it had a nice beginners course and an extremely long and hard course as well. The courses are across the huge lake from each other. The park was not crowded when we went, but there is a lot of parking for the lake beaches there in the summer. This park is... More

I live rather close by, and whenever I feel the need to escape for a few hours and relax, I come here. Last year I held our family reunion at the Conewago Day Use Area and it was a success. Been on many hikes with friends over the years on Lakeside Trail. I take my son here occasionally and look... More

My husband and I have camped at Pinchot several times over the past 3-4 years. The park is within an approximate hour more or less of historic/museum attractions in Gettysburg and Carlisle PA, Fredericksburg MD, and Emmitsburg MD. We found the staff to be very knowledgeable, professional, and friendly. The large lake offers swimming, boating /kayaking and fishing. There is... More

This could be an awesome campground except for a few very important items. The restrooms are very outdated and FILTHY! The sinks for washing dishes constantly had food left in it. The shower drain was clogged so every time you take a shower it floods the bathroom and last but not least. Why in the world did they place the... More

My husband's family has been coming to this State Park for years, but this was my first time. My husband and I stayed in a cabin (#4) with our two younger teen sons and my father-in-law and two brothers-in-law. We had a great time and loved staying in the cabin. We especially liked #4 because the fire pit and picnic... More

The cabins are quaint and clean, with beds for 6-8 people (depending on which cabin you rent). Our cabin had 3 bedrooms: a maste bedroom with a full size bed, a second room with 2 sets of twin bunkbeds, and a third small room with a twin bunkbed, There is a full size fridge, electric stove/oven,...
