Very disappointed. Went to see Hairspray, the cast was mediocre at best. I am surprised this is not a volunteer play. The man playing the mother was the only reason we stayed he was fantastic. The lead, and nemesis were horrific. I think they were coached to sing in annoying highpitched squeal.. Not so good. Seating was terrible we didnt... More

My wife and I had not been to Dutch Apple for a number of years. We went tonight for the Hairspray production. First, the food has shown a dramatic improvement over our past experiences. It was buffet food, but excellent nonetheless. Second, the Hairspray production was terrific! The lead, Megan Power as Tracy Turnblad, owned the part. Made it come... More

My wife and I celebrated our 30th wedding anniversary by going to Dutch Apple to see Hairspray. The musical was excellent, as good or better than anything on Broadway, excellent acting, can not say enough good things about the show. We really enjoyed Hairspray and highly recommend it to everyone. The meal on the other hand was just ok, buffet... More

Last weekend my wife and I saw Hairspray. The show was great, cast was wonderful. The experience left a lot to be desired. Unexpectantly, we were seated, or I should say squeezed into seats at a table for eight, six strangers and us. It would have been nice to know the seating when we made the reservations. Buffet lines were... More

The Dutch Apple Theatre is a charming place to spend time in Lancaster County. We recently saw Hairspray. Fun, funny entertainment with a delicious dinner. All topped off with shoe-fly pie. Doesn't get any better than that!

This is not gourmet food by any stretch of the imagination but is was all very tasty. They don't have a lot of choices for vegetarians but if you are a meat eater, they have lots to choose from. They do have a very adequate salad bar. They have a nice dessert selection including a make your own sundae. The... More

We went last night and they did an amazing performance. The actors really work so hard and it all payed off. The food was good and fresh! We loved the dessert choices. The only bad thing was we had a young 3 year old around that should have been left home. The mom finally left. Amen. Go and enjoy the... More

We went to see " The Music Man". I thought the show was okay, but i didn't have a great time because my sisters brought her kids. That show was adult show, not for kids

We saw a good show here but were very disappointed in the food and being jammed into a table that sat 10 and should have sat 6. Every table is like that and trying to get up to get 2nds or dessert was impossible. Trying to find a waiter was even harder. They jam busloads of people in here and... More

I just saw this musical with a tour group from Canada, and I was impressed! Top- notch performance, similar quality to the shows we see at the Sratford Festival in Ontario. Well done indeed. I particularly admired the sets, costumes, and the young children's performances. Lots of laughs too. The two leads were well cast! This was much better than... More
