We went to Kitchen Kettle Village to see how jams and jellies were made. We even sampled all that we could, and had fun. We bought Amish dolls with no faces and Pandora charms at the shops. The kids loved to see the cows and the horses. We took a buggy ride and at 1st the kids were afaid of the horses but the amish fellow was just so kind with the kids and explained everything to them. More

The amish farms were very relaxing for both of us. They did not wear any shoes like us. Just working bare footed. Wow ! More

It was great to see the well-kept farms and the horses and buggies (though I wish other drivers had been more considerate about not driving too close to them and scaring the horses) More

I live about 2 hours away from Lancaster County. I go out there at least 3 times a year. I never tire of it. We always stay in a B&B, usually one that's off the beaten path.
