Learning about this group of people that live a different life is a great experience. We visited the Amish house and took the tour of the house, it was a good way of understand more about Amish. Didn't took the bus ride, but traveled around the farm. It was a half day visit and we decided we will be back... More

I grew up in Philadelphia and went to Lancaster many times. It was delightful. I moved in 1970. I went back for a revisit with my family last week. It is now very commercial. It was absolutely not worth the 1 1/2 hour drive. Very sorry that this has changed so much. I suppose that it was inevitable.

We took carriage ride and went to farmer's market. carriage trip was boring, complete waste of money. It was waste of a day. Farmer's market is nothing special.

Make sure to take a ride around their fields and try some of their products. There is a place where they sell all the things they make. A must try is the ice cream and home made cookies. Very nice and friendly people.

My Family and I toured the Amish County for two days. This is beautiful area with lots of crafts and vendors. We centered our points around Intercourse Pa. and just went north south east and west. We rode all over. We also took a great buggy ride at the "Amish Experience: Jessica's buggy ride we did the farm tour and... More

This is our fifth show in 2 years and we are always glad we went. Their shows are spectacular, very reasonable admission fee, theater is very clean, the staff are friendly and courteous , gift shop interesting and food availability adequate.

We had gone to the road house restaurant in our area in Long Island in New York and thought that their burgers were fantastic. So you can imagine our delight when we saw that the same restaurant was right across from the Red Roof Inn in Lancaster, Pa. Our group ate there and we were def not disappointed. We love... More

One of the most beautiful places on earth. A secret not to be shared because the busloads of tourists will spoil it for the rest of us, and especially, the Amish. If there is a paradise on earth, this is it! They even own a town named Paradise. Also, towns with outrageous names like Intercourse, Blue Balls, and Bird-in-Hand exist... More

This was a fabulous experience. We ate with an Amish family, heard about their culture/religious beliefs and history. I learned a lot and found it all very interesting adn admirable.

We loved the family style meal here. There was a large variety of food. The waitress even brought us out a plate of just chicken breasts when they ran out! The place is very plain and simple, but quite enjoyable! Be sure and try the date bread and shoo fly pie! Scrumptious!
