We visited this museum a few times. No matter with grandchildren and without we always have a great time there. The exhibits are very interesting and informational, lots of hands on activities for kids and the birds and stones collections are just outstanding. Always a great time spending when in Lancaster.

My brother and I took my nephew to the museum on a whim, coincidently during their Cub Scout event. Luckily, my nephew is a Cub Scout, so he took to the job of obtaining belt loops. The museum was full of interesting curiosities and LOTS of stuffed birds. The staff did a terrific job with the scouts. It's worth a... More

I've been going to the North Museum for many years and still appreciate what a great educational and fun place this has consistently been. They have excellent permanent collections and always have something new coming through about every month or so. Highly recommend!

Aerospace? Animals? Gem mining? Taxidermy? Its a strange mix, but you will learn something if you visit the North Museum. Suggested donation for entry.

We took our grandchildren to this museum last Saturday. They have been there before but we had not. We also decided to take in the first Planetarium show for 4-7 year olds. The show was really nice and held the attention of the 'almost' 4 year old. The lady doing the presentation was good. Fortunately we had coupons or it... More

My 12 year old daughter and I spent about 2 1/2hrs here one afternoon just meandering. Lots of birds, gems, and bugs to admire. The planetarium was out of service that day. Science experiments were a bit out of date.

It was a great find to spend a hour or two on a Sunday afternoon. My three year old loved it and the staff was very friendly and helpful.

My son (20 months) LOVES this place. It's very interactive, he likes the discovery room, the planets and stars exhibit, the dinosaurs, the animal room, the basement, and the basement's ginormous tub of legos. Right away I clicked with the museum staff, and discussed our favorite bookstores and dinosaurs. Yes, I'm a huge nerd, I admit it. But it's a... More

This museum is an interesting and eclectic collection of treasures for a family to enjoy. Our family only had about 2 hours to spend there and that was about the right amount of time to enjoy the museum in it's entirety. The cost of the museum is not prohibitive, and considering that we are supporting local museums we didn't begrudge... More
