I suprised my husband for his 40th birthday. Great location. The only downside is the people who rent it. Sticklers for the time that you rent it for. You'd BETTER be cleaned up and out by the time you said you would!!!

We tried to find this site, lots of one way streets, and we were never able to get there.. Also you drive through a very sketchy neighborhood, because of these reasons it would be nice to have some exhibit signs thruout the area to help find the location

We are sorry that you experienced difficulty in finding Rock Ford Plantation. We are located on 33 acres of land surrounded by Lancaster County Central Park but within 5 minutes of downtown Lancaster. While there are many directional signs in the area, some GPS systems give slightly misleading directions to our site, especially via Strawberry Street. We continue to work... More

We took the Yule tour two days after Christmas. The guides were knowledgeable and friendly. The house and grounds are beautiful. This is one of the rare old homes were you can actually imagine what it was like to live in.

Our family recently attended the last tavern night at Rock Ford Plantation. The food was the best! The decor in the candlelit barn was so pretty. We all had so much fun playing the 18th century games. It was more fun than traveling to Williamsburg and dining in their taverns! We can't wait until the next tavern night!

Learned a lot about a special General to Washington. Our tour guide was very knowledgeable. Plenty of space to wander about the property.

I enjoy going to historic houses. And learn a little bit about the family that lived there. Our tour guide was excellent. The decor of the house had mostly original pieces. She told us of a ghost story of a son that killed himself there. One of the volunteers saw that the jigsaw puzzle was put together. An interesting experience.

From the moment we stepped out of the car, everyone we met warmly welcomed us. The friendly maintenance worker told us to watch for deer around the apple trees.
