We visited Jack Frost Big Boulder for winter vacation. My son had the most fun as he loves skiing and they have plenty trails for skiing. As for me tubing was fun. We went in a large group and I can surely say for everyone that we all had a blast. One of the best short vacation ever.

We did the 3 hr session for my daughters Birthday we had alot of FUN! There was no waiting besides the ride up the magic carpet and occasionally kids forgetting there are people waiting and not getting right off but the staff kindly reminded them to keep moving so they didnt hold up the line. We will definetly be back... More

We took 7 kids to the boulder tubing last week. Although 25bucks each adds up with a family, the kids enjoyed it. The snow was fast, and we almost got some air, when we tied the tubes together. There was a line up, at the top, because it was a warmer saturday. MC

This is a nicely situated Ski Area. It has various slopes for all levels of skiers. The staff is pleasant and competent. We took the Discovery lesson and our instructor was very patient with us. It's a great place to bring the family for a day of skiing.

Loved the easy parking at big boulder. No long lines, great conveyor belt to bring you up mountain! Fun , fun! Snack bar was closed on holiday week day, but main lodge open! Loved the outside fire to warm up and make memories!

I visited both Jack Frost and Big Boulder ski areas today. I started at Jack Frost and the mountain was nice, although the runs were short. There is no detachable chairlifts, so the ride back up to the top takes some time but the lift lines on the ground weren't too bad. The conditions were very good. I did enjoy... More

We were staying in the area and tried things here. It is a well run resort, friendly and lots of families. There seems to be more in the parks than the ski terrain. I think they attract a lot of the younger crowd because of this. There are busses pulling in for night ski, so be prepared for lots of... More

This was our first trip here and the kids enjoyed it. We went snow tubing on Monday and skiing on Tuesday. It was pretty packed but the lines moved quickly and the kids had fun. My daughter stayed on the green trails but my son ventured to blue and beyond and found them more challenging. There was plenty of seating... More

Big Boulder has slowly converted from a family friendly mountain to a more park influenced mountain. While it still holds it's values with friendly family runs, it has more park runs than regular. So why not dig deeper into what the mountain is about? I'll start with regular traditional runs. Bb is a great beginner mtn on designated runs. the... More

Took our 7 yr old granddaughter for a first time ski lesson. Did the 4 hr afternoon snow monsters. They had her out on the snow most of the time and she was riding the magic carpet and skiing down the beginner hill by the end of the lesson. She had a good time. Parking was free and convenient and... More
