We were staying in the area and tried things here. It is a well run resort, friendly and lots of families. There seems to be more in the parks than the ski terrain. I think they attract a lot of the younger crowd because of this. There are busses pulling in for night ski, so be prepared for lots of... More

This was our first trip here and the kids enjoyed it. We went snow tubing on Monday and skiing on Tuesday. It was pretty packed but the lines moved quickly and the kids had fun. My daughter stayed on the green trails but my son ventured to blue and beyond and found them more challenging. There was plenty of seating... More

Big Boulder has slowly converted from a family friendly mountain to a more park influenced mountain. While it still holds it's values with friendly family runs, it has more park runs than regular. So why not dig deeper into what the mountain is about? I'll start with regular traditional runs. Bb is a great beginner mtn on designated runs. the... More

Took our 7 yr old granddaughter for a first time ski lesson. Did the 4 hr afternoon snow monsters. They had her out on the snow most of the time and she was riding the magic carpet and skiing down the beginner hill by the end of the lesson. She had a good time. Parking was free and convenient and... More

Some skiing, some snowboarding, all had a great time. The terrain park was a hit with the 14-16 year old boys in particular. Small but no lines and fun. Everyone who worked here were really nice.

My wife and I loved that we could ski during the day at Jack Frost then switch for eveing night skiing at Big Boulder. We were there during the week so the slopes were not full. Never waited in line for the lift. I did some Boarding too and loved it. The staff and instructors are very nice!

Bad day....freezing rain......But, still had a ball!....Lines were very small...kept going on and on... If the day was nicer, the lines would've been longer.....Fun times taking the Gkids on the Tubes!! :) Prices for tubing...not too shabby @ $10/hr. (3hrs. = $30)...Def. worth it!..... Coming back....soon! :)

We learned to snowboard here, so we are quite fond of this place. It is run very well and everyone is nice. Fun community! Conditions can get a bit sketchy without snow, and be forwarned that no fresh snow and just man made snow equals ICE. And ice means you fall...a lot if you're not experienced. Other than that we... We went to Big Boulder at night ... skiing was okay, but tubing with young children was probably one of the worst experiences of my life. We got to the top and the only way down was to go down the hill at 80 mph on the tube with a wee one along, no helmet, and no real way to... More

We took our 10 year old grandson to the snow tubing side of Big Boulder ski mountain, and our review is limited to that activity. We visited on the Monday between Christmas and New Year's. The cost of admission varies between a Sunday night special of $18 and a full day pass of $47. We had to pay $27 per... More
