A nice and different kind of zoo; nestled in the woods (this was my favorite part) it gives a better feel than a urban, big city zoo. Not much to look at when you pull up but much better when you get inside. Kids would love it. A nice day trip worth the time and money.

Honest straight to the point review: Yes, the cages are small and animals do not even have a chance to reach max running speeds that they would be capable on the wild. After rain the place will be muddy, nothing is paved not even parking lot just gravel. Other than that it's a great place. The place has good amount... More

This is a fairly small zoo in Pennsylvania's Pocono mountains, 1/2 hour from Scranton. The zoo is built into the natural forest unlike urban city zoos. It has a fair selection of animals, but is not big enough for big animals, no elephants, hippos or rhinos. The biggest variety are reptiles, and monkeys, also local type animals. It's good for kids,... More

This is a very nice place to visit. There is a good assortment of animals that are clearly all well taken care of, and the setting is peaceful and just perfect. It is worth a long drive to go to this place. We really enjoyed our visit.

Worth the visit. Its smaller than Elmwood in Norristown but still worth it. The workers there were all pleasant and many of the animals had a glass viewing area so you could take pictures. Very praceful walkjng through the woods to each animal section. Able to get really good pictures.

We took a small trip up with the out 3 & 5 yr olds on a Wednesday. The place is small enough that a lot of walking isn't an issue, but also large enough for plenty to see. The giraffe exhibit was not yet open as they needed to replace the fence fro the delivery of the new giraffe. The... More

Great place to take the kids while in the lake area. Small compared to those in New Jersey and New York but you will have a great time .

When we pulled in we had second thoughts. This place had really mixed reviews. We are also very spoiled coming from Columbus...our Columbus Zoo in Ohio is spearheaded by none other than Jack Hanna. When we got in I was struck...much like the others who reviewed here...about the size of the enclosures. Some of the animals also had the sad... More

It's a nice friendly Zoo. It's the fourth time we've ever brought our kids there. Th enjoyed going there. We like going there it's pretty local to us. I feel it's great to support a privately owed Zoo. We especially love the white tiger and and Lions. My son enjoys seeing the snakes and giant Kane toad. Both my son... More
