We just returned from a lovely day at Longwood Gardens and we were blown away. What a beautiful place to spend a day but after just a few hours, we were exhausted. Each area and exhibit was more beautiful than the next. We look forward to making another visit in the future and we'll wear our comfortable shoes! more

Recently viewed these great gardens where you can get lost just walking the grounds for hours. There were wonderful butterfly bushes that attracted more types and colors of butterflies than I could imagine. When you enter the main building marking the entrance to the grounds you are greeted by friendly service, and avioding the lines is easy if you arrive as early in the morning as you can. Longwood Gardens has several beautiful outdoor exhibits, an indoor exhibit, and also includes the Pierce-DuPont house which dates back to 1730. The house can be toured like the rest of the Gardens. Definitely worth the $16 entrance per person. The estate is so expansive and peaceful. My husband and I enjoyed walking around the paths. I loved the Italian water fountain garden.
