We had a marvelous time at listening to Eaglemania on 4/13/13 at the Mauch Chunk Opera House. We will be checking in from time to time to see what else is playing!
We loved everything about the , the food, and and the venue. This wonderful place will remain a golden memory in our hearts long after it becomes wildly expensive or sells to new owners.
Traveled from Philly to Jim Thorpe to see Enter the Haggis concert. We'd never been to Jim Thorpe and found the town and the Opera House charming and will return again in warmer weather. It was an easy 1-1/2 hr. drive. The staff of the Opera House was very friendly and accommodating. We lucked out this March with no snow... More
I would suggest if you are planning a trip to Jim Thorpe call ahead and find out what type of entertainment is at the Opera House. There was a hysterical Irish Band there when we visited. At Christmas time, they have book readings and plays. All year long there is something to enjoy at the opera house. Don't miss it.

I saw an adaptation of Dickens' A Christmas Carol, which was AMAZING!!! Here is the description on the Opera House's website: "A Christmas Carol like... More
It's a cozy little theatre in the shopping area. They have a little bar and they even serve pie! We enjoyed a nice concert there; and even talked to the band in the lobby.
Went to a Christmas concert there and was very pleased with the venue. It is small so all the seats seem to have a great view. Sound quality was great and the box office staff were very helpful in getting my friend and I seats together. Reasonable prices for beverages and food.
My wife & I recently saw a Christmas show at the theatre, This was our third time at the Opera House. Every time everyone was helpful & friendly. There are refreshments & goodies in the rear of the theatre for your enjoyment either before the show or at intermission. Small venue were every seat is a good seat. They even... More
I saw the Punch Brothers here, which is a bluegrass-type of band, if no one has heard of them. Their band has a multitude of instruments that they play, which all sounded nicely within the theatre. The seats were comfortable, and the surroundings were lavish, but not too lavish which would make it look gaudy. Overall it was a nice... More
