Today's schedule is diverse, from folk, rock, classical, and jazz. Recent renovations include a new steel roof, sound system and theater seats. Relaxed, intimate and all seats have a great view. The Opera House is located in the heart of Jim Thorpe's historic district, just a quick stroll to pubs, restaurants, lodging and shops. « less

We had tickets to see "The Burlesque Festival" It was absolutely beautiful in the Opera House and the Sound echoed amazingly. Can't wait to take in more shows in the upcoming future <3

We in NE PA are fortunate to have this unique venue for concerts. Because it is relatively small, there are no bad seats. All kinds of concerts, we especially love the Simon and Garfunkel tribute. No fault of the venue but the John Denver tribute was a bust because the singer insisted on working in his own music and thats... More

Beautiful building that's well kept and very clean. Check out the historical pictures on the walls upstairs.

Nice small location to see a show. Only problem they need security. Wife had wine spilled on her and the guy next to her then the people behind us that did it where cursing and yelling at the band through out the whole first set. Reported them and they where only told to stop not escorted out if they had... More

My Father and I visited last weekend for the first time. We enjoyed the show, the atmosphere and the beautiful, historical building! Will definitely try to make a return trip!

We saw a Simon & Garfunkel Tribute at the Mauch Chunk Opera House. The performance was fantastic - AJ Swearingen and Jonathan Beedle. The venue is small and cozy. Wine, beer and deserts are served. It was a wonderful experience!

These guys were so talented they should be playing to huge audiences! The Opera House is so nice we see a show there every time we visit JT. The people are so friendly and all prices on everything are quite reasonable.

The Mauch Chunk Opera House brings back the old theater mystic. Great, intimate venue that draws quite a few big names as well as some awesome local talent. Tucked away on the main street of Jim Thorpe it still draws a good crowd no matter who's playing.

Nice small venue. Can't imagine what it would be like with a rock band playing to 395 seats. Enjoyed the band and the singers. The musical director is a hoot.

When looking for night life in Jim Thorpe we decided to try the Opera House. It just so happened on the night we were there the entertainment was " Parrot Beach" a Jimmy Buffet tribute. Although we do not listen typically to Jimmy Buffet we certainly found the night to be very entertaining. If you go make sure you check... More
