Today's schedule is diverse, from folk, rock, classical, and jazz. Recent renovations include a new steel roof, sound system and theater seats. Relaxed, intimate and all seats have a great view. The Opera House is located in the heart of Jim Thorpe's historic district, just a quick stroll to pubs, restaurants, lodging and shops. « less

The Mauch Chunk Opera House is a true gem in the bucolic town of Jim Thorpe, PA and one of the best small theaters in the East to see a show. Beautifully restored and seating 400, there isn't a bad seat in the house. The staff, mostly volunteers, are wonderful and with acts like Wishbone Ash, The CAST of Beatlemania,... More

What a super cool venue with some fine folks running the show. Intimate theater with a some really great music coming through - in a cool little town.

Historic, intimate concert venue set in Jim Thorpe - a town full of character, history, and charming shopping opportunities. The Opera House has a great variety of music to choose from. Anxious to get there again. Check out their website.

The opera house is similar to an auditorium. I was expecting a bit more grandeur when I heard opera house. Not a deal breaker at all, just a bit surprised. In case you might be too, I hope that tempers your expectations. The opera house books many bands to play live. I found it a great treat to unexpectedly go... More

We in NE PA are fortunate to have this unique venue for concerts. Because it is relatively small, there are no bad seats. All kinds of concerts, we especially love the Simon and Garfunkel tribute. No fault of the venue but the John Denver tribute was a bust because the singer insisted on working in his own music and thats... More

Nice small location to see a show. Only problem they need security. Wife had wine spilled on her and the guy next to her then the people behind us that did it where cursing and yelling at the band through out the whole first set. Reported them and they where only told to stop not escorted out if they had... More

We saw a Simon & Garfunkel Tribute at the Mauch Chunk Opera House. The performance was fantastic - AJ Swearingen and Jonathan Beedle. The venue is small and cozy. Wine, beer and deserts are served. It was a wonderful experience!
