Great time for our children age 10-15. We were actually able to book a tour on a day when the company was not even open. We ran late and the guide was there waiting for us when we got there. Very informative and fun for all.
I was looking for something a little quirky to do with my girlfriend for her birthday, and I settled on the Pinzgauer "Ultimate Off-Roader Tour". It's probably important to note that neither of us had any real experience with off-roading going in, but the gamble paid off with this three hour romp through Pennsylvania's coal territory.

A definite 'must-do' for everyone visiting Jim Thorpe! Scott was a fun and informative tour guide and off-roadster. My wife and I loved going on this tour during our July 4th vacation. Just an awesome bump, bouncy, and plow-thru-the-mud ride, good times. Oh, and make sure Scott takes you to the Pinzgauer playground!!!! Thanks from Christine and Joe.
This is the most bumpy, bouncy fun you can have outdoors without getting arrested. Our driver (Justin, I think) was an excellent driver and highly knowledgeable about the area as well.
The guide is the most important element of a guided tour and this was no exception but this tour has a second critical part which is the Pinzgaur vehicle. Both elements were fantastic!
Aside from a great guide and amazing ride the destination was unique which, for us, is always a plus: The long closed strip mines of the Poconos....
