Did the First Friday wine tasting and also came back with friends for drinks before dinner elsewhere. The owners work hard at upkeep and it is a step back in time. Enjoyable visit if in Jim Thorpe.

The tour guide was pleasant and very informative. The Mansion was beautiful and well preserved. I thought the tour of the smaller mansion next door where the son lived should have been included in the price of the tour..there was and additional fee for that. All in all, a very nice highlight to our first visit to Jim Thorpe.

The owners of this manse make the visit worthwhile. Mostly this is a self-guided tour, however there is always someone on hand to answer questions and even give you a little town gossip! After you've finished the tour, ask if the Libation Lounge is serving! It is awesome!

The tour was very interesting and guide was very knowledgeable of history of the family and the business they ere involved with which was The Reading Railroad. The house along side of the mansion is now used as a hotel.

The perfect weekend started with a late Friday arrival after a long work week. Our hostess greeted us, showed us to our very comfortable room, and we unwound on the airy front porch with drinks. An early booking for rafting prevented us from enjoying breakfast, but Pat, out hostess, had provided pastries, and the coffee was just outside our room.... More

Stopped for a beer on the porch and took a self-guided tour. Appeared to be very original. I think staying here would allow you to immerse yourself in the entire time. Assume tofu this areas heyday

The best part about the mansion is the patio overlooking Jim Thorpe, order a bottle of wine, some cheese and you can't go wrong.

Went inside to listen to a Ghost Talk presented by the Rotary Club. Fun way to spend the afternoon, in the summer they take you on a Ghost Walk of the town.
