We visited the butterfly sanctuary when in the area visiting family. It was a wonderful experience! The staff made the experience fantastic. The entire area was wheelchair accessible and the activities could be enjoyed by individuals of all abilities. As a parent of a special needs child, I can say these opportunities are rare. Well done!

This is a unique spot that needs an explanation. We had two 2 year olds and 6 people in their 30's. What was most shocking is how much the adults got out of it. The woman in charge is very knowledgeable and makes the experience. The time with her is as good as a education can be. She is warm... More

While we were in town visiting, we were looking for something to do on a rainy day. The visit started out with an informative video "in the life of a monarch", followed by a detailed explanation by the owner. We saw the butterfly room, getting to feed them with sweet water. We then, saw the poisonous frogs on display with... More

Well thanks so much for the kind words, Our 1000 Monarch caterpillar are growing fatter each day and looking great. We are getting so excited about releasing them in Sept. I hope you will let us know how the migration looks in Mexico this year and visit us again if you are up our way. More

We spent an hour or so here, and enjoyed it very much. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable, and the butterfly room is awesome. The video was geared to young children, but it was still informative.

Our granddaughter was coming for a visit so we wanted to check the sanctuary out before we took her. It is a wonderful hands on learning experience for adults and children. We saw the children's movie when we first arrived. It is very casual so if your little one needs to step out it is not a big deal. There... More

We love that you came to "check us out " ahead of your Grand daughter's visit and so pleased that you liked us. We do feel we have a lot to offer but it is hard to explain just what we do at the Sanctuary and we are not like anything else we can scribe to potential visitors. I hope... More

We went here last week and had a real great time. The staff is very friendly and helpful with any questions you may have. They have a little show that shows the children about the butterflies and different types. Well worth the visit.

Was unaware this place was in the Poconos, but so glad we found it. A really fun activity for old and young alike. A very informative staff who also kept the attention of our 5 and 9 year old grandchildren. Our 19 year old grandson was even talked into dressing up like a butterfly! The sanctuary where the live butterflies... More

From my 9-year-old daughter: My family was very satisfied with this experience. In no time we were engaged in learning about frogs and butterflies. We watched a short movie and the woman there explained and showed many things about butterflies. We lastly went into the Flutterarium and were able to see real butterflies and let them land on us. Overall, this... More
