We took the train last week with our three year old twin girls. They were very excited about the whole train experience. They really wanted to see the porter punching the ticket! It wasn't a very exciting view in the middle of summer but I imagine going in the Fall would be beautiful. At the end of the ride we... More

Once again well worth the 18$ price.. The ride lasted about 70 minutes. The guides were very helpful and the views were spectacular.

The trip up the gorge was fun but the trees along the right of way blocked most views. From the publicity photos, we thought the tracks would be higher on the side of the gorge.

the train ride is roundtrip. there is a restroom on train but they refrain you from using it. use restrooms at train station. the open end car is really nice. couldn't see much because of trees but was relaxing ride. it takes about 70 minutes.

A friend and I had a great time riding the train. They allow dogs on the train so I was able to bring my two greyhounds and my whippet on board. Jim D. was especially kind to the dogs. He made sure they had fresh water to drink at the station. The lady who took our tickets (wish I remembered... More

Best train rides for the money here or anywhere. Can't beat the scenery and Jim Thorp's attractions.

If you simply like riding on a train, great! If you expect more such as beautiful scenery and other interesting points, the thicket, trees and brush were distracting from a breathtaking view; otherwise, it was interesting enough just riding on the train and hearing the history.

On a sunny day, a train ride through the Gorge can be so relaxing. It is a bit of nostalgia tucked away in the beautiful Pocono Mountains.

Three adults and a four year old went on the railway one Saturday morning. Unfortunately, it poured. We had selected an open car which would be ideal otherwise. Although we got a little wet as the rain came in from the open sides, we still enjoyed ourselves. The narration was well done. The scenery was lovely.

We have ridden the Lehigh Gorge railroad several times. The train is usually clean and runs on time. I like this railroad better than most other scenic train rides because the tracks have been upgraded for higher speeds. Also, when you get back to the station, there are several restaurants right near the depot. The only complaint I have about... More
