A great little find in the centre of town (Wingham). The historical society have done a great job of preserving and displaying proudly all sorts of objects from it's history from farming equipment to fashion. The displays are well put together and coordinated into sections. The volunteer staff are friendly and knowledgable. A must see if you are in Wingham!

Wingham is a small town, but loaded with history! 2014 is the 50th Anniversary of the Manning Valley Historical Society, so do spend an hour or two looking at the history of this great town. The staff are awesome too - volunteers with a real passion for local history.

For a small town museum they have a lot on show for you to look at from the local area. The people are friendly and very knowledgeable. Well worth a look when next coming up to the area. Small entrance fee

This is a very interesting small local museum, full of exhibits displaying the history of the area. The entrance fee is very reasonable. The staff were very helpful. A visit here can be combined with a visit to the equally interesting Wingham Brush Reserve

Great little place, has loads of old things that the kids wouldnt get a chance to see. loads of old photos from a very long time ago. Very cheap to enter. $7 a family. They also have the jail cell of Jimmy the last Australian bush ranger and the story about him. Its also an information centre for the town.

Unlike many museums in country towns, this one is not only located right in the centre of Wingham with convenient daily opening hours, but it also has extremely well arranged and comprehensive exhibits in which obvious care has been and continues to be taken. The themed pioneers' room display was especially good and lifelike. Admission costs of $3 per adult... More
