Wasnt sure between Perisher and Thredbo but I would say Thredbo is better. Better layout, better lifts and everybody is soooo friendly and helpful. Runs are a bit difficult for begginers compared to perisher but that just means you are pushing yourself more.

Whilst Thredbo may still be the best resort in Australia, it is fast losing that mantle. I have skied Thredbo for over 30 years and must admit this year is a major disappointment. I think I will save my money and ski overseas from now on. I had my first day for 2014 on Sunday 20 Jul and what shocker.... More

We usually stay at Crackenback and drive to Thredbo daily which takes about 15-20 minutes. Our son has full day lessons from 9-4 and quality of lessons are good for value. Snow related activities in Australia do not come cheap anyway. We have not stayed in Thredbo village and prefer to stay away from all the snow and wet weather... More

We stayed in a large cabin in Jindabyne and drove to Thredbo each day to ski. These past few days the snow has been amazing and i hear it hasn't been this good for many seasons. A few of us were beginners so we pre-booked our classes a head of time as they sell out quickly. I recommend you package... More

Its unusually good snow here at present but the runs here are better then nz. The food and drink and prices are no where near as good. Nz food and prices leave thredbo for dead, both on and off mountain. The variety in nz is better , and thredbo has the typical aussie monopoly syndrome of charging massive prices like... More

Snow play Thredbo, new, was great fun for kids. They loved the rubber tubes.more than toboggans. $45 a day for large tube and a toboggan. Area is the tennis courts. Next to Valley Terminal. Get your tubes etc in Thredbo Sports in Valley Terminal. Parents get your coffee here also, as no one has thought to provide hot drinks OR... More

It took approx 2 hours to drive from Canberra to Thredbo. We drove through Jindabyne and stopped at the Info centre to get permits, maps and advice on the weather conditions at Thredbo....oh and the cappucinos were great too! It was peak season, so very busy with traffic. We didnt know what to expect so we asked one of the... More

We were lucky to be there for a perfect week of lots of snow and gorgeous weather. Only gripes were trying to get a table in restaurants during school hols and we got stranded at the River Inn (Friday Flats) because we didn't know the shuttle stopped at 9pm.
