It's a bit of a shame you have to go so far to see snow in NSW (from Sydney) but I'm glad we have a place like this in OZ. Probably we were lucky but on the days we went we got... read more

Being mature aged female beginner skier: at first I was totally lost and overwhelmed, never having seen anything like Thredbo before. Once I got over that, hired my gear, got my lift pass, and started taking my lessons, it was so much fun. I would recommend anyone with even a little bit of an adventurous streak who's never been to... More

Having come up from Victoria to ski Perisher we thought we would take a drive out and ski Thredbo as well. It was a Friday morning and we were there early. If your staying in Jindabyne try and get your lift tickets prior, the line for tickets was ridiculous with only 3 of a possible six windows serving. They chose... More

When the cover is top to bottom Thredbo offers a great range of long runs for all abilities. Although the bottom sections of Thredbo can suffer from lack of snow at times, their huge snowmaking system improves the situation greatly. The express quads are long and fast meaning that after offloading from these lifts you have long runs down ahead... More

We visited Thredbo for the first time this year, and the services and staff of the resort were always convenient and helpful. However more ski/snowboarding space is needed to make the experience better. The resort offers some of the longest runs in Australia however 90% of them are for Intermediate - Advanced. The lessons offered by Thredbo are undertaken by... More

Thredbo, I like it! My visit to Thredbo was an absolute disaster, but that didn't change anything, it was still great. On the first day, we arrived, unpacked and went and had a tabbogon. The issue was that it was a no tabbogoning zone, of which we didn't seem completely our fault. One of the people we came with hit... More

Thredbo has it all for those who love the snow! OUr childrne (10 and 8) are in love with our Freerider Instructor - Pheobe, who I cannot speak highly enough about. Her attention and love for her job is clear, the children have thrived under her instructing. Well done Phoebe. But there is a down side, due to the limited... More

This was my first visit to thredbo. I absolutely loved it. I was not there for long as my kid was bit sick. But I was so amused with the facilities and view that I will go there again next year to enjoy the snow. Perfect place for people who loves snow. Strongly recommended.

We don't ski, but took the chairlift up so we could get above the snowline and see a bit of the scenery. Would definitely recommend doing this. If the weather is nasty there's a nice, warm cafe at the summit where you can warm up before or after you go exploring (meals are a bit overpriced but drinks are good).

Fantastic snow quality and an enormous number of slopes. However, signage is poor so be careful - it is easy to go onto an experienced level slope without realising it. We had a minor medical emergency while there - all staff encountered were amazing, very helpful, considerate, efficient and professional. This was also true for all staff we met during... More
