Atmosphere and crisp air was great. Plenty to do - we did not have enough time. Thredbo River is just lovely, gurgling it's way down the valley. Heaps more activities and shops open than there used to be. Management has done a good job making the area attractive to visitors.

Very impressive village with lots of quaint shops to explore not the mention the alpine bars, restaurants, coffee shops and excellent bakery. . It's worth a visit during the summer months as well as in winter which is busier. Has lots of excellent places to sit and enjoy the mountain views and sometimes the outdoor entertainment.

Given that is was mid summer I recognise that the place may not be buzzing with activity. But as it written up to be a place for great walks and hiking ( true0 we expect to see more signs of activity. There were only 2 choices for dinner ( 1 excellent and the other did not look very inviting). No... More

We have just spent 4 wonderfull nights in this ski resort in the middle of summer. There are just the right number of services available to make the visit most interesting. The express ski lift to Eagles Nest Mountain Hut provides a vista of the village that is almost breathtaking. The 6.5 km walk to the "top" of Australia is... More

If you plan to travel to Thredbo in summer for the amazing walks or mountain biking don't bother staying in the village. It is overpriced, nothing is open and petrol is literally double the price of the rest of the country. Stay at Jindabyne and drive in instead.

Thredbo is staging more and more "events", like the Blues Festival. The place is buzzing with people when this happens and anyone from people watchers to downhill mountain bike fanatics will have a great time

Brilliant day walk! Total 13km return to summit from ski-lift (6.5 each way) takes approx 4-6 hours. Easy pathway all the way to top (impossible? to get lost), standard shoes ok (no need for trekking boots). Need to take: warm top, water-proof jacket and sun-hat - we needed all. Despite clouds in Jindabyne/Thredbo it was clear weather at top (we... More

Loved visiting this village recently. There is so much to do and it is very family friendly. The guided walks are a must and you are able to choose the length and distance depending on what you would like to see.

We visited for NYE and enjoyed the carnival like atmosphere. Make sure you take your wallet because EVERYTHING is expensive. Also be prepared to pall and walk as parking is at s premium.

There's so much to do, if you're willing to go outside and find it. Be warned it can be quite chilly.
