Snow play Thredbo, new, was great fun for kids. They loved the rubber tubes.more than toboggans. $45 a day for large tube and a toboggan. Area is the tennis courts. Next to Valley Terminal. Get your tubes etc in Thredbo Sports in Valley Terminal. Parents get your coffee here also, as no one has thought to provide hot drinks OR... More

It took approx 2 hours to drive from Canberra to Thredbo. We drove through Jindabyne and stopped at the Info centre to get permits, maps and advice on the weather conditions at Thredbo....oh and the cappucinos were great too! It was peak season, so very busy with traffic. We didnt know what to expect so we asked one of the... More

We were lucky to be there for a perfect week of lots of snow and gorgeous weather. Only gripes were trying to get a table in restaurants during school hols and we got stranded at the River Inn (Friday Flats) because we didn't know the shuttle stopped at 9pm.

Everything at Thredbo is overpriced, but one doesn't even get the calibre of person one would expect. We had our goggles removed from our helmets where the were clipped on in the drying room and ski poles removed from our skis outside a restaurant and a broken pole left in its place. We were told there was no one to... More

Tucked away half way up the stone stairs is a little room that houses the Thredbo ski museum. When we popped in briefly we were met by a gentleman who was an absolute encyclopedia of knowledge about Thredbo and the Australian skiing history, boy could he talk but he made the visit worthwhile and interesting. Would highly recommend dropping and... More

We came in the first shoulder season to snowboard after having our 2013 holiday kindly rolled over as that season ended early. There was once again no snow but that is the risk you take. However everywhere Thredbo boasts about being family friendly! Only one coffee shop had a few toys and a little table for children to sit and... More

Our family of five stayed the week before the ski season started, so accom was very good value. We caught two different chair lifts on different days, played at the park, in the pool and wandered around. There were enough shops and restaurants open and absolutely everyone dressed in a Thredbo uniform was so welcoming, polite and helpful. We did... More

We tried one of the unaccompanied art walks and had a lovely morning discovering sculptures of wombats and bronses that we had never noticed before.
