This zoo is knky small but what a wonderful day out for everyone. We took our grandaughter and a picnic basket. Very hands on with the animals. There are picnic tables to sit by the river and watch the animals. Entry price is also very reasonable. If u r in the shoalhaven region this is a must visit

For the last 2 years we have bought annual passes for the Shoalhaven Zoo and think it is money very well spent! We go on average once a week and think its a fantastic outing for the kids. It has a wonderful and very reasonably priced cafe with nice coffee and plenty of picnic areas complete with BBQs. The staff... More

Spent about 2 hours walking around the various area's and saw everything so don't expect a full day out. Some very cute animals with most of them quite accessible. It appeared as though they are working on the trails and we did get lost a few times but you can't get far as you have the river one one side... More

What a great zoo on the south coast. It was overcast this morning so we decided to head to the zoo. Such a variety of animals, we were there just in time for the feeding time. Highly recommend it to anyone, it's also located next to a beautiful wide river. It's just such a magical spot

Was given some vouchers for the zoo for Xmas, being from Sydney having Taronga so close we didn't expect a lot. We were very surprised! It's not a massive place but it's an easy walk, basically no crowds, heaps you can interact with, great talks with interesting keepers and information and a fantastic cafe!!! We also did the marmoset and... More

Lovely setting on the river, easy going stroll to see the animals. Great hands on shows for kids. Gift stall and café were lovely too.

There is so much to see and do. There is now a tree climbing adventure down at the very end near the camels, which has to be booked and paid for separately. An entertaining and educational place to bring children.

I have been visiting this wonderful Zoo for nearly 30 years & my grandchildren & now great-grandchildren just love the place - & so do I! The location is the ultimate: along the banks of the mighty Shoalhaven River & sheltered by majestic sandstone cliffs. It is obvious the owners & staff really love & appreciate the animals & there... I can't say enough of how much I love Shoalhaven Zoo. Its a warm and friendly place with great animals and shows and my kids have always loved going there. Trent who runs the croc show is a passionate young man who obviously loves his crocs. Highly Recommended.

What a great place to spend a day with your family. The interactions with the animals are great for the younger children. My 10 month old grand daughter loved the animals. Plan your day to ensure you get to all the planned shows. You will need to check where they are going to hold some of the shows as this... More
