I stayed here for a couple of nights whilst travelling up the coast with my partner. It's next to a ski park on the Shoalhaven River and the location is beautiful. It is very basic however was exactly what we were wanting and given that it was off peak, only cost $22 per night for the two of us with... More

On a unique site on the Shoalhaven river, the zoo has some amazing animlas such as the cute marmoset monkeys and the majestic crocodile John. The animla talks are informative but fun.

There aren't HEAPS of things to do around Nowra if you aren't into beaches or vineyards. As a result, Shoalhaven Zoo is one of the stand out attractions. It's not enormous and the diversity of the animals it houses is not extensive, however it is in an amazing setting below the cliffs overlooking the shoalhaven river. The animals the keep... More

Took the children and had a great day. Would have gotten there a bit later if we had known the show times. Went to all but one show as kids were a bit over it. Prices are very family friendly for entry, food and photos. Only wished we lived closer so we could visit more often!

This Zoo is a fair way out of town unless you re staying at the adjacent caravan park. I don't know if there is public transport available, so you may need your own car. It is a small zoo. Do not expect Giraffes and the like. They have a small petting area for kids to pat the animals which include... More

The zoo was not huge so it wasn't overly crowded, we were able to take our time getting upclose and personal with the animals. I was surprised at how soft and fluffy the roo's fur was. I recommend visiting the zoo if you are in Nowra. We had a great day out there.

As a family we love visiting zoo's, so we were excited to visit Shoalhaven Zoo for the first time on the weekend. The array of animals is pretty limited to Australian natives with just a few monkeys dotted around. The kids enjoyed seeing the wombats up close and we all loved the Crocodile Show, BUT the car park was a... More

We spent a day at Shoalhaven Zoo during the school holidays. We had a great time all my three kids and I love the guide. He is hilarious. We will be back and bring hubby next time.

Just had a lovely day here with my 2 children aged 4 & 6. In all the day was just fantastic, with enthusiastic staff and affordable optionals such as photos with the animals, feeding the animals, and food. Because it is a small zoo you could get very close to the animals. Would love to go back again.
